Can I politely suggest that if you want to post political slogans, this is not really the thread on which to do it: it will only cause offence and adds nothing to any discussion.

El,
I'll be watching BGT definitely,
Sometime over the wkend-
wouldn't miss it..
although it will be on record..
as I have to drive approx
200 miles today to the funeral
of a close friend's Dad,
with only Ali in the back for company so
I feel it'll be a one way conversation...(:

There's a thread here on Offbeat just now
named >>

'Time passes very slowly when you're
In a Hippo's Mouth'

'DC' sent it.

One might overlook it as a frivolous thread if you
didn't know but a really great story there
One of 'triumph over adversity'

Worth seeing..

Wishing everyone a restful peaceful weekend..

You're like the rest of us K - in my younger playing days, it was more than a few beers on a Saturday night and then a vindaloo! I lost count of the number of Sunday mornings during which I felt rough!!

Well then, in my opinion we must celebrate birthdays to their fullest .... but see I don't drink much, let alone beer.

It was dancing at the bar til it closed (2 or 3 am) and food at an all night restaurant. I was happy to be the designated driver --- Pepsi was drink of choice. I loved to dance -- UK imports, Cure, Depeche, Erasure & New Order is my fave.

A glass of red wine is about my limit nowadays...but in
my youth I was a bit of a poser and drank Flowers Beer
as a sort of fashion statement....it went with my image
at the time!
