Welcome Mack T...glad you like us enough to join us, we'll look
forward to seeing you here as part of our little 'family'.....
I see you have met some of the folk here, so make yourself at
home and enjoy the company.
Thank you for the welcome. It always makes me feel a bit nervous entering a thread of friends. The welcomes I have received here has helped so much. I appreciate the kindness.:-)

Lovely to see you here, and I
Hope your are daily returning to health after your very
Recent surgery.

Just to let you in on a few details here,
First, and more seriously,
TONY1003 a longer time cyber friend here, has just embarked
on a course of chemo and is doing well so far,
he tell us.

El, who thread it is, bakes very delicious cyber cakes and pies
for us, so well described we can almost taste 'em(:

El lives in Wales.

I live in Ireland and there's a character

named FRANKO who lives in Canada,
and, like Dracula comes in the night.. leaves messages(:

Many other great characters, you will get used to
As time goes on..

If there is ever minor disagreement
(which is very normal)
There's never any coarse or vulgar name
calling, just people holding to their opinion.
and agreeing to differ...

Great adding your good-self to the mix.

I appreciate the welcoming and the well wishes back to health after my recent surgery. That means a lot to me. I am healing well, but still have a bit to go through afterwards.

I am sorry to hear about "TONY1003." He is in my thoughts and prayers. I wish him the best in his treatments.

Hello El...It sounds like you are a wonderful cake and pie maker. I can't wait to hear about your next batch of goodies. Now, I haven't even eaten breakfast yet, and I am already hungry.:)

Yes, I have seen some of FRANKOS postings, along with many others. Everyone seems so nice here. It's always great to find a thread like this one.

I am glad that people here agree to disagree, and do not start talking vulgarities at one another. Too many other threads on this site do that. I don't need that kind of confrontation. I just want nice conversations, and I am more than willing to hear someone else's opinion. It's a way for all of us to learn from one another.

Good morning everyone!! I hope you all enjoy the day!:-)

Good Morning Denny...we're having a heat wave! I never thought
I would say this so early in the year, but I am melting! It must
be all of 75 in the sun. I have just come in from the garden,
been out all day barring lunch, and am loving it. Clancy (cat)
fell asleep on the bank of the stream and fell in...fortunately
it is only a few inches deep so just his underbelly and tail are wet, his pride took a tumble.
Have a great day...:)

Good Morning Mack T...good to see you this morning and you are most welcome to breakfast...would that be a full English?...:)
Black pudding is optional!

Cakes and pies....I try...but you want a speciality cake, QUINN57
is your gal. I have some wonderful recipes from my friend Quincy
and they are foolproof..long established recipes. BRIGHTEYES
Cranberry muffins are to die for, so you pays your money you takes your pick! lol
Occasionally we like to put the world to rights here, and by doing so we actually learn a lot as each is learned in their own way,
TONY1003 is a Historian, ex school master and I myself learnt a lot from him about our own history..
I am sure you will soon settle in and look forward to hearing your own views if you should wish to.
Enjoy the day....

Good Morning to All across the pond and
Good Afternoon to Grace, Tony and Krypteia.

Just taking a pot of freshly brewed tea out
onto the patio, and lightly toasted Tea Cakes.

Gorgeous day here in Wales, slipped down to the
village earlier, the verges are bright blue with Bluebells, a lovely sight against the backdrop of
Golden Gorse and May Blossom. I really do not wonder that as is said, even the lowliest farmer
here is a poet.

Hope everyone is havinga nice day and hope your ankle is much better Krypteia.

I expect it was. I am not totally au fait with history I'm
afraid, should be I know but there are sections of it appeal
to me and others that do not.
It seemed that all we learnt about in school was the Monarchy, and frankly I was not interested so opted out. I flung myself into Maths and English in preference.
I seem to have learnt more combined with my genealogy than I ever
did at school.

yeah but that would spoil the fun. I wouldn't have let her get away with it, maybe had a quiet word and ask if she had forgotten something.

sounds like that was not an amicable divorce ...

was your last sentence somehow cut off? What did you intend to say if the sentence was completed?

I never had a successful garage sale .. after two atttempts and only a few dollars made for dozens of hours of work, I;m not bothering anymore. ANything not sold was donated and that's what I do whenever I want to clear out some junk.

Hmmm .. similarily, much of hour school history teaching was about Canadian history ... we covered that more than world history, which makes no sense since canada has a 200 year history that represents a small blip on the radar of true human history.
