Splendid weekend to all!
I hear ya, kids certainly can be a big pain in the butts at time. raising them is the hardest and most important job of a lifetime,
but well men? they have their usefulness, like taking the trash out. lol lol

only problem is that, well its MY job around my house, LOL
im gonna have to talk to that man..
lol
its all good still.

for instance the paddy wagon[police van]
and a shocker cowboy ..dogie... didn't catch the rest of the Irish spelling but means a sick calf??
believe it was" do gie ?????"
True and interesting.

It 's also been said..
(Dono if true)

But...

that the great 'PELE'
Got his name from the Irish word 'Peile'

'Ag imirt peile'= Playing football..

<quoted text>Prety much but I just have an open house for 2 hours. My big push has changed. I got 40,000 business cards and I try to put out 3,000 to 4,000. My cards have Free iPad in big red letters. I will go to a mall parking lot and put the card on the drivers window. I have watched and they don't throw away my card so it is the law of large numbers :)
this weekend we did a garage sale that our development has every spring. some lady comes up, looks around then hands me her realtor card saying "looks like u may be cleaning house for a possible move, call me when u need someone"
I laughed and said "ur good" lol

speaking of having a garage sale, its pretty pathetic when someone comes to look and then sneaks away a small item...
I don't care how hard up u are for money, how down on ur luck u may be, stealing is stealing..

I didn't say anything, and maybe I should have,(I mean it was only a dollar) but i figure sooner or later karma will come into play for that one.

who knows maybe she felt the price was too high, LOL

Tony, yes these veggie patches

RM Quinn,
I saw what you said about ginger
And read El's link..
Very informative and interesting...
TURMERIC is also very useful
Especially cardio related..
Check it out on the net.
and has hidden properties..
As do a lot of these, often
Overlooked wonders!

El,
Good holiday Monday to you,
Was wondering did you get to watch 'THE VOICE'
t weekend..
Great, as usual, I was mad with them,
because they left a really excellent singer
'GO' without turning around for her!
she sang fields of gold half in Welsh!
quite beautiful,
even Tom Jones was really annoyed after
That he didn't choose her!
And
A happy Good day and week ahead to all here at 'El's'
Grace..

didn't see the actual programme but found the link!....:)
Beautiful voice, such a pity nobody turned round.
While I was looking, I noticed one of two interesting videos
on the side....I liked this one, bit of a laugh.

Wow! Thanks El. I know it's been suggested cinnamon also helps type 2 diabetics maintain blood sugar levels.
http://m.care.diabetesjournals.org/content/26...
I'm insulin dependent. My doctor feels that as long as the supplements don't hurt, why not give it a try.
Very interesting, thanks Quincy. I sprinkle Cinnamon on
my sultana bran every morning, I believe it also lowers the
'bad' cholesterol..
and like Grace mentions, Turmeric is a wonderful aid for the
heart, I sprinkle that lavishly on my currys twice weekly.
I am a great believer in supplements of this nature.

The same applies to myself Franko..to appease both parents who were of differing religions, I was brought up with a scant knowledge of either. I sought a religion when I was 16 but was forbidden from attending any longer as my mother considered it was making me 'morose'. It dictated it was a sin to watch tv. wear make up etc. Only thankful my mother stepped in, lol.
Incidentally, the road on which I travel to town was built inbetween 70-400 AD..by the Roman troops as a means of moving the army around the country between the various towns. Before the Romans came there were no roads, just Iron Age...ancient Britons.
Roman roads are amazing. They run straight. Roman engineering was a big part of what made them an Empire :)

that is really ironic but couldn't help chuckling at this.

Looking at your avatar Sir Tally reminds me, this fellow who
had been held hostage by Somalian pirates held a seminar
headed Pirates and advertised it, sent out invitations.
Well, everybody went along thinking it was to be a light-hearted talk and dressed up as pirates, Captain Hook and all that, they
didn't know where to put their faces when he started telling of his ordeal. hahaha
