If I may ask a favor El ?.... forward to Tony in the event he won't post for 2-3 days.

Thanks!:)
No problem Luke...done and dusted.

Many thanks indeed for the good wishes for yesterday and for the
London Marathon...could well be that lessons were learnt from
you own country's dreadful events.

Delighted to see your post El,
had no notion of falling out(:
anyway wouldn't give that biting chappie
the chance of scoring twice, LOL >>
nice little pun there now!..
and, you know, you had a point,
if you saw me, when I read your previous
post... asking me, why on earth was I
comparing Ali, the doggie
with a world class player!
whatever way you put it, I was well amused!
A pity background scenes cannot be recorded on Topix (:
As an old woman around here used say..
in an argument CASE CLOSED..
Meant to ask, El,
if you were watching
BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT LAST Sat..night week,
there was this lady named Alice who sang
the classic>
'My Funny Valentine'[link below]
OMG! she was superb!
but here's the 'raised eyebrows bit,!!
last Sunday night, she also appeared
on THE VOICE,
and believe it or not NO ONE turned around for her!
I found this very interesting indeed,
and a key to..
the particular song one chooses on the night..
is obviously of GREAT importance.
Just in from the city,
got my hair done, nice day.
all tide now,
i'll have that cuppa with pleasure..
Warm wishes to all who posted here today.
and especially to our dearest friend TONY...
we'll give 'that clever fella' a few topics
with mysteries
to solve, that he won't have time to even blink!!!(:

Good point Grace...can't let him score twice...I mean..
once bitten, twice shy...LOL!!!

Sharp this morning what?!

Now I missed BGT and The Voice being away, and am afraid that the
link would not open for me..a message saying not available in my
country' but..I will seek it out on youtube hopefully.
Is she the one I read about in the newspaper I wonder, where she
was a bundle of nerves on BGT but no problem previously?

Time for another cuppa...:)

Bore Da Grace, Flower, PFfff, Quincy, Tony,
Krypteia, Sir Tally, Denny and Deer Whisperer, Franko and all who visit the Kitchen.

We have rain.

Not that it is ground breaking news, but the forecast was we were to have the hottest day of the year today....:( can't believe those weathermen.

I had an exciting e-mail when I got back on Sunday evening, from a lady in Canada whose husband is my second cousin twice removed. Since then, after years of futile searching, I have photographs of my paternal Grandmother, her brother in WW1 uniform, his son, the most fabulous photograph, and am being reunited with living descendants
still in Manchester.

Just thought I would share.

Grace, sorry to be late here, but Happy Birthday!!
hope u had a wonderful day.
:)
Very true,
as they see things very differently
than we do!

Thanks I had a great birthday,
celebrated it in a few different
ways, which drew it out nicely
so.. it lasted longer(:

El,
that was indeed a pleasant surprise you
got via email, happy for you...

I honestly find BGT is a lot more entertaining
than THE VOICE [though good too]

it has such variety and lends itself to far more,
and has many a laugh.

Here's a link, you - and others here - will enjoy watching..

it's from BGT last week,
two brothers, who sing;

they both work in a sandwich bar,
the Granny urged them on..
and how they sang speaks for itself!

and - wait for it ------

they come from WALES!!!!!

Nowhere in my comment - which is my opinion and I'm entitled to have one - did I say that the young man in the hospital isn't likely one of the perpetrators. Your second to last statement acknowledges "innocent until proven guilty."
Two words:'Miranda' & 'lawyer'. When did get either?????
And yes, its FBI propaganda and spin -
-
First the suspect was a Saudi national in the hospital with other victims.
Then it's the younger brother actually killed his older brother by running over him.
Everything Dzkokhar allegedly said has been through FBI 'sources'. Pretty amazing for a kid who lost a lot of blood and was shot in the throat and leg.
The authorities and alphabet soup Feds in particular lack complete credibility in my book and they spin things to make themselves look good.
It makes the suspect no less guilty; however as we've all been told,'believe half if what you see and none of you hear'.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-23124...
I did not ask you or anyone else to agree with me, or even listen. You can however respect my right to an opinion.
And dare I say, framing suspects is not beyond something the FBI or police are capable of doing.
I feel the same way about the police and the spin. They are guilty as hell but that is a different subject

For folks here who can get BBC1 TV,
there's a very interesting Wildlife programme
on tonight @ 9pm..

It's called GREAT BEAR STAKEOUT..
and comes in two parts, concluding tomorrow night.

I heard a guy talking about it-
who is associated with the programme -
and it sounded very interesting.

I'll have a look at it.

Thanks Grace....and thanks also for this link, I wouldn't have
missed seeing those two brothers for the world. Absolutely
loved them. Wonderful also that the panel and the audience
appreciated them. Good for their granny.

I'm a bit wary about watching that Grace, as sometimes there is
hunting involved...but...can always switch off if that happens.

Morning all, thanks for all the enquiries over the treatment.

Tuesday was a little nerve-wracking, only because it was the unknown. All went well - am now still linked up to chemo until Sunday. So far, side effects are mild. A little tired yesterday (but that was probably due to poor night's sleep on the ward) and a little pain this morning (but easily dealt with). Touch wood, some of the horror stories of reactions to the treatment have proved unfounded - long may it be so.

Decorating today - which shows I can't be that flat out!! Must be all the good vibes you guys are sending out. Gonna beat this.

'Morning Tony,
this is what we have been waiting to hear, it's half the battle
when you can accept the chemo with little problem...so that must be
a huge relief...I can see you are going to be fine, no doubt about it! You'll beat it okay.
Now can you send some of that glorious weather you have been having on the SW cost up here to Wales if you don't mind. We drove down to Port yesterday and couldn't see a hand in front of the face, the fog was such, took me back to those foggy nights in Manchester, coming home from work with a cyclist guiding the bus.
The same heavy silence as fog brings...call me strange, but I love it! So I am doubly happy this morning, and yet again, we have fog.
Keep up the good work Tony.

Good Morning Quincy....

and Good Morning All..

Vee and Wildbluerose included...(sorry I missed you out)!.

Do you remember my asking if anybody could throw any light on an old tv series whose name escaped me?

Looking for an image for my avatar yesterday gave me the clue. It was BLOSSOM. I see that Jenna
is now a country singer, interesting.

Wishing everyone a good day.
