Thank you Dear Lady El for all your support and love. I have been catching up on my sleep lately considering being up for about 48 hours straight is no fun with having to make sure Boomer was okay.
Again, thank you.....now he is acting like Betty Crocker! LOL
Lots of Love to you, Grace, Quinn, FC, PFff, Denny, Quinn and all the others that are in the kitchen.
Takes a while to catch up, it's been a worrying time Brighteyes,
glad all is well that ends well.
I was worried myself...thinking of the fest in September, however,
that is now still on the cards thankfully.
All we need now is some warm weather...it's bitterly cold still out there. I got some planting done yesterday and am paying for it today.(excuses)!
So...who is this Betty Crocker?....:)
Sending love ..<3

LADY EL, perhaps a Hello Larry or a Tony Randall show . short lived but both had daughters
None of those Sir Tally. I have searched on Wikipedia...everything but...I can see the characters now
but this series is evading me. The father was a widower,
I am sure it was set in New York....

KRYPTEIA....

There doesn't seem to have been any news on how
Gareth Bale is after he was stretchered off....
have you heard anything at all? That was sad to see.

Good day Lady El and all. Betty Crocker had written a cookbook here in the USA. She is a fictional character, unlike Julia Child. Her recipes were famous here. When someone mentions that someone is acting like her, they are talking about baking with a passion!
I don't know the UK equivalent. See, there is that whole language thing again! LOL!

On the lighter side, here is a question that I used to ask my elementary students in the library.

We all know that, "April showers bring May flowers. What do May flowers bring?"

Wait for it...

One more.

Are you ready?

What do Mayflowers bring? Pilgrims!

Corny? Yes! Funny? You decide.
Enjoy the day folks.
Peace.

OH!
I agree with you completely!
I find also, the two types of
shows are not in
the same league;
some folks find THE VOICE a gimmick..
interesting way to see it!
How's YOUR weather over there, F?
what if both shows had the same format? would people tune in to the second (newer) show or would they stick with the one they know (and have already developed a liking for?)

SO of course each show has its own format .... to set themselves apart and give viewers something different to get their attentnion.

Typical spring .. 3 days rain, one day sun ...then repeat.

Hope you'll get the job done
successfully.
There is 'for' and 'against'
these talent show,
and, granted everyone has a different way of looking at
the.. which is healthy.
There have been some great successes from these shows,
like LEONA LEWIS: ALEXANDRA BURKE..
and dance acts such as SPELLBOUND (who were indeed aptly names)
and DIVERSITY.
I also find interesting that some finalists who don't make it
to winning, often times race ahead 'out in the world' ie> "One Direction" and "Ollie Murs"
to become 'bigger' than the winning acts,
who often fall away when the show is done and dusted.
I think that is the secret of the success of these shows,
the unpredictable nature of it all..
In any case that Simon Cowell.. Louis Walsh etc.
are dead clever guys, it must be said .. in the art of knowing how to
take and prime time TV spots and manage to maintain the
public interest through
the long winter with shows like X FACTOR and BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT.
I agree with you, I also I do NOT like,
[and we talked about this before here]
is... less talented folks.. or folks
who are not [compos mentis] being allowed
slip through the net and appear on stage for the 'entertainment'
of the masses..
I feel the Producers were ticked off about this sort of thing,
as it appears to be less so..
Strange indeed how differently people view the same thing ..

My daughter has grown tired of these singing shows, but she likes to watch the auditions ... she has a laugh with the wanna-bees who think they have talent when they have none.

Thinking of you today dear Boomer...you won't feel a thing, really,
so glad you recovered so well, it could have been so much worse.
I have to say, your recipe you mention sounds very very tasty, don't worry about any conversions, I have a chart up on the fridge, have to admit not familiar with habanero, but can do a search.
All the best today then...please let us know how you go on.
Best to BE....<3
Hey EL ... how have you recovered from your own mishap a litlte while back? Are you 100% by now?

Thanks EL ... keep your fingers crossed. It will be a few months before I can really tell how it's going, but seeing as I have worked in the industry for many years I am sure I will do well .. oherwise why try, right?

Good to hear it was't as bad as originally thought, did I hear
them say he will only miss two matches, or be back in two weeks,
good news anyway.

Good name for a fictional character associated with food..
Here we have Mary Berry, she seems to have taken the limelight
off Nigella Lawson...:)
Good one about May Flowers....in fact, Brilliant I would call it!..:)
Peace.

How kind of you to ask Franko. I didn't realize at the time, ridiculous though that may seem, but I dislocated my right knee.
Considering that fact, I am fortunate that it hasn't stopped me in my tracks, I can't afford for that to happen. As it is still numb, I will be off to the docs next week, he is going to be cross as I by-passed him by going to the cottage hospital on the Sunday...:(

From what I can gather, you have given it a great deal of thought, have the experience behind you and further, dealing with products which are daily necessities....it's in the bag!....:) Always quite
exciting to try something new, good luck with it anyhow.

Thanks for reply on this subject, Franko..

I really think it's the case of
one-up-man-ship! lol
one trying to outdo the other by presenting
a new format.. on an old idea..
but .. whether one like it or not ..
and indeed..
there's 'for' and 'against'
SIMON COWELL was blessed with a touch of genius..

to have started
something that grabbed ... and continues to grab
the public's attention 100%

Your dear daughter has the right idea about these shows!
