The Milky Way

Since breakfast was a topic, I think I will have the eggy bread, a cup of tea and a small glass of chicken milk...

I ventured out to the pub for a pint this afternoon and chatted about the canine virus and chicken milk. I blamed it on my recent head injury. Gravity bested me! The staples will be removed this week. One chap asked if I could pick up the BBC broadcasts. Only when I twist my ears a certain way...

Good Morning Guys and Gals, hope everyone is having a happy and peaceful Easter.
Just about to take a batch of Hot Cross Buns out of the oven, so sit yerselves down and help yourselves, butter curls dotted about in dishes.
Have you tried the new global craze as yet there over the pond? Very healthy, it's chicken milk.
First it was goat's milk, then sheep's milk, now
this...but I am all for trying anything new. Apparently chicken breast is best!
Have a good day my friends.

Good to see you back Boomer...and recovering well, I bet you
had them worried in the pub there for a minute or two! haha
Hope that chap saw the humour in your reply, I certainly did,
(making a mental note of it should anybody ask me a similar question) lol.
Eggy bread coming up, a bottomless tea-pot, but I have to tell you,
you have to catch your own chicken!....:)

I enjoyed it Grace..I loved the bit where Tom sang
to Mary backstage, really nice. I liked the young
bloke from Salford, Gtr Manchester, not being biased
at all, was expecting him to sing Rap, instead of which
he sang Country. Versatile and I hope he does well.
Also enjoyed the will-I-am 'look-a'like' supposedly.
Warmed more to Jessie J this series!

Hey Franko...in the event you was being serious, then yes,
it was an April Fool's prank. I wondered about it myself
briefly when I received it from a reputable site....my mind
turned to 'how'...but then I quickly twigged. But who knows
these days eh?
Hope you had a pleasant Easter.

Could anybody shed some light on this please.

I think it was around the same time as 'Rhoda'
was televised, there was a series in which a
young Dad brings up his daughter, a teen, who
has a friend, and the show centres around them.
I know it isn't much to go on, but it was one
of my favourite television programmes at that
time, I cannot for the life of me remember the
name of it. The dad was really dishy and the
girls trendy and funny.

Anyone? Thanks.

Thanks El,
So glad you saw it too,
it is an excellent show..
and credit where due,
it's better than our own version IMO.

to date in ours, no 'star' appeared,
some good singers, yes,
but, no more than that.

I spotted the likeness between the guy and Will/I am
even before they mentioned it,
but lol
NO kudos for me as the likeness stood out, a mile.

One thing I don't agree with tho' is
the judges laughing & joking between themselves and running around
each other's
seats while the lady or gent is having their audition..
I think, out of respect they should remain still and judge
'properly'
Tom Jones is very good at this.

Good afternoon, Lady El ... some significant rain is predicted for today and I certainly hope it happens as it is so much needed! Other than that it's been spring here for months ... I cannot imagine what Sir Rod has been going through and the cool days you've been having as well ... nor more than I can think that some people in the US go 9 months of cold and only 3 months of semi-warm weather or so I hear, wow! I just can't relate ... The last few days and nights have been good to me and hope they continue to do so ... Wishing the same for you, P and the little ones! Much Love to you! FC <3 ...

Good morning El. Sorry I can't help with the TV. To anyone interested in history I sure reccomend the show time series by Oliver Stone. Now he is very liberal so he is lop sided in the facts he uses but then that is always the problem with history. You have 100 facts but you present mostly the facts that favor your bias. There was a Ken Burns series on the civil war that was very good but presented from the Yankee side :)

I don't remember them doing that in the last series, or at
least so much, but I agree, most annoying and unnecessary.
It's ridiculous! But I must own up, I didn't see the likeness
until it was pointed out, lol, and then I was still searching
for it! Quite funny when will said they could possibly have
the same Dad...:)
I'll be there next Saturday, watching alongside you Grace, it's
fun to compare notes as well.

'Afternoon Flower...I can almost feel the warmth of your part
of the world from your post, must be truly wonderful to know that
you can rely on the coming days to be warm, but bear in mind this Winter and Spring has been extreme, the coldest since 1962 apparently. I say it is cool here, but it's downright cold and for the first time ever (I believe) a tourist attraction has been cancelled due to the depth of snow on the track, and that is the Snowdon train which visitors to the area at Easter look forward to.
It has been hard on a lot of folk...elderly, farmers, and certainly hard on new born lambs and their mothers...
but generally I am one who loves all seasons, I love the contrasts and what each season has to offer....did you ever read Grace's poem 'Winter'...it really does sum up how I feel.
All good here my friend, and sending you good vibes, good wishes and love for a wonderful day.

'Afternoon Denny...interesting you should mention Ken Burns,
he has a show starting this week called 'Jazz' we have it on
record, P has watched some of his documentaries on the civil
war and on the dust bowl, he said they are very good.
I think it was Slow Hand Luke who pointed out Oliver Stone some
time ago, I watched a few of his, but filmed over here, I recall he has a great enthusiasm.
We get much more tv series from America now than when the one I was
enquiring about was aired...it's just a fun show, but I loved the characters.

He thought I was just some off key amatuer and he chuckled and said, "Sure, we can do an encore." When I got done, the audience was on their feet yelling and giving me a standing ovation, and Steve was extremely perturbed because he never expected me to sing that well. He acted like he made a mistake allowing me to sing because it took the spotlight away from him and he knew that I would be getting all kinds of recording contracts now. It was interesting especially since Sammy Davis is dead. ha ha ha ha ha.
