Good evening/morning to all!
I have been reading postings and not posting much. Some of what I see is quite amusing and I share that with Brighteyes. We have really good belly laughs.
My point here is that between some, it is an episode of Upstairs/Downstairs, Downton Abbey, and of course Monty Python.
(Cut to corner in kitchen), Boomer_ I say Lady Quinn and Master Crane. Would you be so kind as to bury the hatchet in the garden?
Franko- Not in each others' head!
(Room erupts in laughter!)
Lady Quinn and Master Crane retire to the garden with their chat of American politics. Applause!
Franko- Has Gluteus Maximus stopped in lately?
My sincere apologies to the BBC, any and all that I may have offended, and for all of those I have not!
Spring has yet to be sprung in my head!
(Don't ask!)
Peace
Good Morning Lord Boomer...
(cut to behind counter) I say Madame Grace..I've learnt more about
politics than I care to know, what say you?
Madame Grace....just do what you do best, is that tea brewed yet?
hahaha
Very well put Boomer, who could take offence at that.
Have a brilliant day and SO glad to see you gracing the kitchen
again.(You had me worried there for a minute!)...:)

You get what you see with me. There's nothing I say here that I don't say with family and friends. Take it or leave it. I'm highly opinionated (as my good pal Denny can attest) and I was born talking and haven't shut up since (as my friends & family outside of the realm can attest.
Good Morning Dear Quincy....we love you to bits here in the
kitchen, talk away, we can if we wish skip yours and Denny's
political views, but you are our Oprah and we would hate it
if you did 'shut up'.....:)

Good Morning Grace....

did you watch Pope Francis' inauguration?
(ask a silly question)!

Very brave of him to dispense with the Pope-mobile
and how very compassionate of him to bless the
fellow in the crowd. Very moving indeed.

Don't they have blood pressure machines in most of the pharmacies these days?
'Morning Franko...

to let you know your thoughtful post was partially instrumental
in me being 'sensible' and mosying down to the hospital.
It's a new one which has been built in the hills, so it was a real
treat on Sunday to go up there...we have been dying to see the place, if you will pardon the pun.
They do have those BP machines available for the general public,
it's something I have considered having, my brother has one,not a bad idea at that.
Sorry to leave it so long in replying, I have been rushed off my foot! LOL!

Good afternoon Lady El,
It is good to know your feeling better and I am glad the ice worked. It sounds like a good day to kick your feet up and relax today. I would love to have some warm tea as I cannot get warm this morning.
Have a wonderful day and be good to yourself.
Peace and love always my friend!
Good Morning Dearest Brighteyes....
how about this for a delayed response!..:) My bad.
We have a gorgeous Spring like day here in Snowdonia,
alright, so there is snow on the tops, but looks so
beautiful. I am going to put an hour in in the garden
this morning, complete what we started ysterday which
was transferring rose bushes which were in the way of
access to the patio, checked them this morning and they
don't know they have been moved.
Your avatar of the tulips in your garden gave me an idea,
they look so much more effective planted with mixed colours
as you have, so I will borrow that idea.
Have a brilliant day my friend....<3

Good morning El and all here in the kitchen! Happy St Joseph's Day to the Italians & Poles who grace the Kitchen. Everyone celebrates St Pat's, but this Feast of St Joseph is so often overlooked.

Alas poor Boomer, I cannot speak for Franko or Sir Tallyho Bali Hi, but as Master Crane has stated, we have no hatchet to bury.
Denny and I knew each other and bantered before gracing this lovely kitchen. It is friendly banter and neither of insults the other. Age, geography, life experiences --- we have differing opinions. No one is left with ill feelings.
As for Franko & Sir T, we've been chatting it up in the kitchen for a while - I love Franko's wit and wisdom and Tally is another well informed walking encyclopedia. I don't take offense and I certainly hope they don't as I mean no offense.
Get my Irish up and that's another story, but I have no problems with our kitchen friends and as I'm aware no one has a problem with me. If so tell me, don't keep it a secret.
Good morning Mighty Quinn and all in the kitchen. What smells so good :)

My beautiful Lady El,
It sounds like you are on the mend :) Speaking of tulips....we have a conservatory here that has botanical gardens outside that the plant tulip bulbs every year and once they are done blooming they will take names of people that would like to help dig them out and then they can keep what ever they pulled out for their own gardens. It's amazing! It was about 15 years ago a friend of mine asked me if I wanted to go there and dig through the huge mounds of tulips they were throwing out. Yes, I did say throwing out! They would dig them up with a back hoe and place in piles to be tossed. People were upset so they came up with the idea of a tulip dig. It's so wonderful because you can meet new people. I will pair up with some of the younger crowd that really wants to dig and I will pull the tulips out of the ground to place in all of our boxes. A win win for all who participate. But of course the rose bushes are fine....they are taken care of with lots of love!
Thank you for continuing the play in the kitchen. I would tip my hand in it but would probably mess it up and then it would really be a giggle! LOL
Have a wonderful day Lady El and please don't over do it.
Lots of Love!

Good morning/afternoon to all! My thoght last night was to push a little humor into the political banter. Politics and religion I avoid. It serves me and others well just to do volunteer activities! I have served at the soup kitchen, the homeless shelter, and various other kitchens in town.

For me, it is about "doing". It is one thing to sit and carp; the best thing to do is act! Don't like the way things are happening, be the change! Make it better.

We are volunteers here in Columbus, Ohio, with a group named, Community Festival or ComFest for short. On their website, the Statement Of Principles regarding ComFest is what attracted me to volunteer. Check out the website. We were voted Best Festival in the state of Ohio in 2010! Imagine that! 3K volunteers can't be wrong!!

It is nearing lunch time here. My lunch will be leftover ravioli. They are 6 cheese and jerk chicken. Yum Yum.

Brighteyes and I have a meeting this evening with a sponsor of another festival that we are putting on. Hopefully, it will not be too long. I hate to miss Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsay.

Enjoy your day all. Chat later!

'Bright Eyes'

I love your present avatar.

Today is is snowing,
I was out near the mountains with the dog...
and coming home, I was lucky enough to
spot some wonderful scenery..

Tall trees and even high TV masts,
seemed as tho' they were stretching out
their 'arms' inviting the fresh falling snow to sit with them..

and it seemed the snow took up the invitation
enfolding them in sparkling white robes!

[I was imagining all this] lol.

then, at the edge of a field.. stood rows of yellow daffodils,
made fluorescent by a glittering mantle of snow..

I stopped the car and stayed there ages,
savoring these moments.

and thought...

If it were a picture in an art gallery,
it would've been advertised at a high cost

and, yet ...
there was NO price on this..
as I witnessed it..as it was
in glorious natural surroundings.

but...

Boomer,
the secret is..
one can do both..

'THINK' AND 'ACT' at one and the same time..

or perhaps ..

'multitasking' is *only* the gift of womankind (:
