Hello Grace,
So sorry to hear about your neighbor. It sounds like a very tight community that helps each other. I do say it is very refreshing to know that neighbors like you and I have are still around. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Peace to you always.
Thank you so very much for
such a kindly post;

it's the least we can do..
I think just 'being there'
helps,

delighted that YOU to have such neighbours.

Yeah! the weekend's looking good with
'St Patrick's Day' next Sunday, and because of
it, a National holiday on Monday!'

It only hurts when I laugh! Thanks so much for your kind thoughts Franko, appreciated very much.
Oh, and it's still raining...it has hammered down all night, on the positive side it is much milder.
Hope your day is a good one, it's very nice to see you back in the kitchen...:) <3
Even as you sit there and suffer your aches and pains you ask about me ... how nice El ...

We're having our first rainless day in the last 4 ... though no sun ....

today!
take it easy.
Ali is in the dog house!!!
I left her sleeping in the sitting-room..
it wasn't ENOUGH for her to have her own
soft comfy bed under the piano..
Oh no!
In the night she had to jum on the couch,
picked out a nice cushion,
and thought 'Yum! YUM! that'll do me'!
she had a good old chew of the corner,
so this morning, I found the evidence,
and small feathers scattered everywhere !!!!!
'Morning Grace...
tons better this morning thanks, but sporting bruises a boxer
would be proud of! I still cannot believe how lucky I was given
the situation of where I went sprawling, it is quite a step up onto the patio and when the weather improves we are taking up
some roses and replanting elsewhere so we can access the patio
easier. To be honest, I have never in all my born days experienced
pain like I had from my toe that first night, I was visualizing
'A & E' which P had suggested but of course I knew best. No way
would I go middle of the night, drunks and such, and fortunately
the pain subsided, so I have got away with it.
Enough of that.
Naughty Ali! But things are improving if it is just the corner!
I have hidden away my best cushions with this bunch I'm afraid.
Quite mild here this morning...and actually dry...:)

'Morning Brighteyes...I am in 'your corner' with the pool contest...we ladies have to stick together!..:) Although...
don't want to lose Boomer's support for Man U..they play later
on today but it isn't televised unfortunately. Big Rugby game later, England versus Wales...cannot take sides there
living in Wales but from England. May the worthy team win.
Not seen sight nor sound of Quinn and have been missing her....hope
she is alright.
Have a lovely weekend my friend..<3

here please...had enough now of Winter for another year. Just
as a matter of interest, we have an explosion of deer over here, they are causing accidents on roads and eating all the flora and whatnot...so there is going to be a cull...some idiot suggested
introducing wolves into the country...meanwhile a huge outcry about foxes attacking babies, and the answer to that is kill the foxes....they are always looking for an excuse to wipe out foxes...my suggestion would be to make sure babies are in a safe environment. Animals will instinctively look for food, any food, this time of the year.

No worries Grace...I actually did not notice, but had I, would
have know what you meant.
I have a neighbour's cat sitting on the windowsill, he weighs
a ton so I know he is well fed, but for some reason he likes
to call here and have a little snack every day. This neighbour is a lovely person, but she did ask me if I knew anybody would give him a good home as he 'picks' on their other cat...so it looks like he is shut out a lot. I am seriously considering putting a sign up 'Cat's Kitchen'..haha

Happeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Saturday, El, Grace, Franko, Ed Asner, Wiley Cyote, Rhea Perlman, Danny Devito, and Dennis Farina's internist. I wish this cold would leave already. Between 30 and 36 degrees. It will warm up some as the hours drag on. After work today, supposed to do lunch with the GOILS. Hope everyone has a great day. What are your St Patrick's day plans?

Honestly El..
I'd be a bit worried about that toe of yours!
if there's a LOT of pain -

you might just have a doctor check it out..
but 'you'll' know best as the days pass.

I'll put this here,
perhaps it will be more appreciated 'here'

I had it in the 'St Pat's Day.. let's go Irish'
thread..
and it received a barrage of negative icons!!!

Happy Saturday to you too Vee....and if you do do lunch out, enjoy.
About to put on the makings of a Spaghetti Bolognese for an early
dinner and settle down for a couple of hours to watch the Rugby. It's a hard life!

It's on the mend Grace,'sides which, what can they do?
I stick to my guns about avoiding hospitals like the plague.
Funnily enough I had a telephone call the previous afternoon
my surgery requesting I go in to have my blood pressure test.
I decided against going based on the fact that the waiting room
is full of sick people! Had I gone I would not have had the
accident..(:
Brilliant video, I was familiar with Van Morrison's version
but not this one. Wonderful voice...t/y. Very poetic lyrics.

LOL..
Kinda funny,
'had you gone you wouldn't have
done your toe'!!

I agree about hospitals,
tho' they have their place, when really needed,
but to judge wisely, IS good,
there are so many strains of winter bugs: flu & other viruses, etc.

Take it easy anyway, El.. for a few days.

Oddly enough recently,
they found my BP high when I was having a cardiac
check they call me for regularly..
they said they would send for me to have it monitored..
heard ZERO since!!!

Well,'as far as I know'

I'm still alive (:

I will be happy to send you some used weather. El you are not going to believe this but the liberals in our government have adds up for food stamps in Mexico. We are advertizing for illegal aliens to come to America and get on food stamps. The conservatives tried to stop it but were voted down. We have 40 million people on food stamps

I think Quinn's only missed like 2 or 3 days, right?
