Hello Denny! Well that's no surprise, Spring in Texas...after your 'frigid' Winter, I'm sure you're relieved, lol.

It is all flooding back to me now!...:)
Forgive me withholding the story...it involved a third party
who I approached, but they asked me not to reveal it online!
Pity, as it was quite funny.

Sounds like everything is back to normal!:-)
In the case of GB the whole episode seems to have given
him a new lease of life. The Vet on Thursday was great
with him considering that their normal work is with
agricultural animals. The bill was horrendous, a relief
that they 'threw in' taking out the stitches and a further anti-biotic jab free and gratious.
Met a lovely lady from Seattle in the Vet's waiting room,
very interesting to talk to and passionate about animals.
We were chatting to all the dog owners in the room between us,
got to know the gen on all of them.

<quoted text>Well good news for Kryp and you! Hopefully your trip to town is enjoyable and interesting. Spring is late here, hopefully signs of it abound over there.
Got off to an early start and hit town mid-morning...got
everything done I intended to do, find it quite exhausting
these days...don't know if it is the weather.
The stores were jam packed full, it being Mothering Sunday
tomorrow.
Wondering if I am alone in enjoying the Winter months, lol,
I really do, in fact we are promised a cold spell on Monday
when the temps will fall to -7C and the whole of the UK will have snow...only problem with that is the lambing season is upon us, not the best for the new born lambs..although they are a hardy breed here.(Welsh Mountain sheep)
At the same time we have signs of Spring, I noticed the one Lilac
tree sprouting leaves this morning...Peonies peeking through the soil.
Almost bedtime here, so I will bid you a Good Night..<3

Lovely story in today's newspaper.

A young woman (22) was told by the maternity hospital to go home, although her waters had broken, she was advised your baby is not due for some time as yet.
To get home she, and her partner and partner's mother, boarded a train...
Shortly after boarding she turned to her partner and told him she felt a contraction and felt labour coming on.
As luck would have it, on board were a midwife, a nurse and a police officer.
Between them the Police Office and the Guard of the train, cleared the carriage, and the lady was helped onto the floor by the midwife and nurse..where she proceeded to give birth to a baby girl.
The Guard kept all the other passengers informed as to the progress and loud cheers rang out as the lady was helped off the train complete with new baby, into a waiting ambulance.

HAPPY MOTHERING SUNDAY ALL MOMS.

and a happy weekend.

See you around the mid/late week mark.

And a big hello to you fine folks in El Kitchen!
Tony I'm greatly enjoying the history lesson! And your words of caution ring so true, about not seeing accuracy on TV, and I dare say; not a lot of accuracy in our school textbooks anymore, either!
I truly hope you all have a great Saturday!
Hi PP - obviously history is my thing - both my degrees are in the subject - I do hope I don't bore the good folks on this thread by banging on about it. Interpretations change all the time, particularly with new evidence emerging, or with re-examination of existing evidence. In the last month, it has been confirmed that the bones of King Richard III have been discovered - very handy as there is much controversy about him.

Working today (which is a little of a bummer as it's my birthdya), so have to fly. Trust you're having a great weekend.

Hi to
El, and all on the thread.
some inclement weather on the agenda here too!
our weather, as El knows, is usually in tune
'give or take' with that of Wales..

Arctic winds predicted! > poor daffodils! sigh!

Hoping you'll have a great Mom's Day, El...

My sons, who are always ultra attentive to me
don't bother with 'Mother's Day' we have decided
on that, we see it as a money spinner for cards
& flowers....
I am well appreciated as a MOM *all* year and don't need 'a specific day, to be shown it..

but

That's just my opinion,
there are 100 others variations on the theme.

Would be interested to hear different opinions

Good after noon to all in the kitchen.
Grace you make a valid point. Since given birth to our son everyday is Mothers Day.We feel the same with Fathers Day, Valentines Day, Christmas and others...... We do not practice a certain religious belief because everyday we wake it is Christmas. Things have become so commercialized that it sickens me. We choose to celebrate everyday as a new and unique holiday. If you awake in the morning to put your feet on the ground and take another breath......it is your Birth Day once again. Birth to a new day!!!!! Just my thoughts Grace and thank you for asking. Have a wonderful day.
The sun is shining here today and we are going to have a heat wave at 65 degrees!
Peace and love to all!
