Greetings of the SPECIAL day. to everyone

A few Valentine thoughts ...

A Valentine Fantasy.
by (Grace Nerissa)

Valentine's Cupid stayed by her side
And watched o'er her lovingly all through the night.
At dawn he placed rosebuds around where she lay.
A greeting of love on St VALENTINE'S DAY

As they wandered the woodlands through day's happy hours
He picked her ... sweet snowdrops and wild fragrant flowers.
He said he adored her .. and ne'r could there be
another .. as fair .. and as lovely as she ...

but .. he had to go to a land far away..
Where flaxen haired angels and sweet cherubs play..

Now .. deep in the woodlands in February days.
His image is seen through the sun's golden rays ..

A shower of red petals on the green forest floor
and baskets of kisses arrive at her door..

She can tell they are gifts .. from him
straight from above

'cause they're sealed with his kiss and..

made bright by his love..

And oft in her slumber...
She dreams of him then
and longs for the time she will see him again.
Knowing... he'll return in the first bloom of spring

When blossoms are bending and little birds sing.

He'll come back from the magical land far away

To be with her once more...
on

St valentine's Day ..."

You have a good point there Franko...no sense in winding anybody up in a situation such as that.
Although I must admit that I took a driver 'to task' on one
occasion, he was in front of me, and narrowly avoided forcing a motorcyclist off the road who was coming towards....
As my son had at that time been driven into, on his motorbike,
the tool of his trade as he was filling in at that time as a courier, he almost lost his life, his bike was a write-off...
I chased the car driver a couple of mile and collared him when he pulled into a garage...he thought it very funny until I threatened to report him at the next police station I came to....got an assurance he would drive more carefully. Course he would!
motorcycle and bike riders are often over looked on the roads... the danger factor is much higher for them.

Of course there is just pure carelessness such as that man displayed ....

who knows, maybe your chasing him down was the message he needed ?

It can't have hurt ...

We could set the speed control on our vehicle, but the roads being such, there could be three varying speed limits within a space of
a few miles.
I recall with nostalgia doing 150mph on the newly opened M1 way
back when (I was not the driver) and the car was not souped up, just a Jag XK?
well a Jag is better than most souped up conventional cars, right off the factory floor ...

Isn't it scary driving that fast?

Good Evening Lady Eleanor...
Seems Mother Nature gave us both a gift for Valentines Day...
Mine is that the sun has shown all day and the temperatures are in the mid fifties...
It's a beautiful day here in the valley...
I hope that you didn't work too hard but then again with your love of gardens how could you...
:o)
Sending You and Yours all of my best wishes...
((Love-n-Hugs))
@}-'--,---
'Morning Dear Rose,
I have another one from Mother Nature this morning...there are
buds on the Clematis that I had almost written off. Actually
it is a plant which I bought at a discounted price from a store
who had given up on it, probably as it had not been watered while
it was waiting for a buyer on the shelf in the store....grieves me to see that, anyway, I nurtured it over the Summer months but no
sign of life, then yesterday, St. Valentine's Day, new shoots, and today I see buds. Happy with that.
Valentine's Day is considered to be purely commercial by my beloved...lol...if you ask me it is a cop out...I shamed him by buying him a small gift anyway! LOL!
He has, however, kindly taken our cat Ginger Bailey for his surgery today and I shall collect him late this afternoon.
I hope you have another beautiful day, and it stays that way for you.
Love-&-Hugs...

'Morning Grace....that really is lovely to read...
it's a wonderful gift you have...and a gift you give
to others.

Forgive me for this though, lol...

Did he get the rosebuds from Interflora as they
don't grow the same time as the snowdrops?....:)

That is the gardener in me speaking.....but I loved
the poem immensly.

You was in my thoughts yesterday Grace, been there,
know what you are going through.

Ha ha ha ha!

Well spotted, El,

I'll let you in on a little secret!
'he' got the rosebuds as the back of
TESCO'S, they in the 'artificial flowers'
section!! and selling
at discount prices! LOL..!

O, the shame of it all!

Hoping everyone here is in good form,
there's a real touch of Spring around now.

Thanks El for your other thoughts,
my friend is still 'hanging in' there,
kept comfortable and we all are spending
time with her in different shifts.

and has good friends around her...so important at this time.

Hello Flower....feeling better? Sincerely hope so.
I sure miss my dogs, could never go through it again,
and my heart goes out to Vee too.
Just been watching Animal Cops Houston....a lovely lady
had to part with her three Pot Bellied Pigs, due to finances,
they were like children to her....on the positive side, she
was happy that they got good homes and can be admired for
doing what was best for them.
Often think of how wonderful you were to drive all that way
to rescue Jax from the hurricane. I saw where he sensed your
friend's distress...his own background must have given him a
sixth sense, sort of more tuned in to folk's feelings...it's like
everything else, if everything is peaches and cream all one's life,
then nothing to fall back on.....know what I mean?!...
Getting a bit deep now even for me.....plus, have a heavyweight
cat (Joe Celt) determined to walk on my keypad..so quitting while
I am ahead....
have a pleasant evening my friend....love and stuffxx
Good afternoon, Lady El ... not much to report here that won't make it to another frivolous thread ... A+ report from San Antonio yesterday ... otherwise the materials for my new flooring will be delivered today between 9-12 so they can "aclimate" and be installed on Tuesday ... so I'll be maneuvering INSIDE my house all weekend ... well, SU/MO I'll be out of town at the Casino as I usually go for my birthday, or try to go every year ... Tuesday is installation date ... it's all good ... Hope all is well with you and your yours ... it's time for breakfast ... Happy Day to you ... Love, FC <3 ...
