Good afternoon or good evening to all my friends in the kitchen. I am so glad we did not get that snow in the New England states. Hope all are cozy/warm and enjoying life today.
My love to all! Peace

Good Morning All my friends in the kitchen....
have missed you all tremendously.
As you know, family have been over from England,
it has been a blast I believe is the expression
here, but nice now to be back to normality if
there is such a thing!

When I say 'over from England'...it is all of
a journey of 150 miles...in fact I recently learnt that there is no one place in the UK which is over 56 miles from the sea. That's how small we are.

Saw the weather report from America on Sky News
last night and again this morning....not good,
just hope everybody is safe and has their power.

So...let's get that coffee on, throw a few logs on the fire...who's for coffee or tea?

Good Morning Brighteyes...am so relieved for you having seen the
conditions in parts of the USA....have a suspicion that you didn't
get away totally unscathed though.
I can see the kitchen is looking bright and cheerful, all the dishes gleaming...I have you to thank for this, so huge thanks
for keeping the kitchen going...:)

Love to you and to all friends here.

Good Afternoon (yourtime) Lady Eleanor...
Been missing you around the kitchen..
I hope that everything is alright.. I'm having a good day so far.. and I don't have much of anything that needs doing today so I plan on being lazy...
:o)
I hope that you will have a really good day today and that no matter what you decided to do you will have some fun and enjoy yourself...
Sending You and Yours all of my best wishes...

Good Morning Dear Rose...
Good to come back and read all your posts, having said that,
am so terribly sorry to hear of all the losses in such a short space of time...just unbelievably sad.
Makes you want to enjoy each day we have left, and I am sure there are many of those to come!....:)
I saw the snowfall on the tv...I was thinking to myself, how on earth will Rose walk the Chi-kids in that lot, truth, the first thought came into my head.
Hope you were spared the worst of it and that all is well in your world.
Love and bestest of wishes....

Let's see EL what our over paid over inflated football team can do tonight.lol
'Afternoon Krypteia....reporting a little late on the game but why not! It was a brilliant result, who would have thought?
Over paid is right but glad to read this morning of many players contributions to the treatment of Gazza...not only football players of course but celebrities all wanting to help.
Naturally enough I will be rooting for England this afternoon over there in Dublin...
but I will be watching Man U myself..:)

I think England are going to be the ones to beat - since the New Zealand win last autumn they have been on a roll. So much of the modern game is about the psychology - reckon the French were much too casual in their attitude to Italy last week. Having said that, everybody in the 6 Nations wants to beat England so they raise their game. The Froggies are so mercurial, no telling what they might manage.
Men's Downhill from Schladming this morning, rugby all afternoon: doesn't get much better than that!.
'Afternoon Tony....should be a brilliant game this afternoon, hoping for another brilliant result!
Can't not mention Wales impressive win over France yesterday...
Getting interesting....yes indeedy!

Good morning El and Grace and all my friends. All you animal lovers need to check out Wimp.com . The best animal videos. There was a great one of a dog in the window barking at something. As they got closer the animal turned around and it was a cat not a dog. He stopped barking and started meowing when he was caught :)
'Morning Denny....cool site, thanks for sharing.
I watched the one you mentioned...priceless!....:)

'bout twin brothers who live on the border of England

how it pans out. So it is like reading it afresh.

To all of our folks in the UK, it is unfortunate to hear about the scandals involving football/soccer. Along with the immigrant gangs that want to push an agenda.
I know from experience that the folks in the UK are very tolerant. Cheers. Let's hope it doesn't happen here in the USA. Things could get very ugly.
Peace to all that visit. Let's share our differences over tea, coffee, or a pint!
'Morning Boomer...always happy to partake of a cup of char!

It is unfortunate about the football revelations, quite
shocking really, but not a complete surprise sad to say.
We are only so tolerant! Anything affecting the beautiful game negatively speaking has to be stamped out.
Meanwhile, looking forward to Manchester United playing this afternoon, did I mention my Uncle played for them many moons ago and P's Father also.
Wishing you a great day...:)

Hello again, my friend ... Not reading anything since the sx, no movie theater, no driving, did finally go out to breakfast with Brenda yesterday and Kohls Dept., Store and Big Lots (a big outing indeed), no internet, no gym ... practically nothing for 4 weeks post surgery ... daytime television basically bytes the big one ... it's only been 1 week 4 days ... so I still have some time to go ... I drove 2 times when I wasn't supposed to but I HAD to! Slowly on the mend but I'm a trooper and I'm getting there ... My caregiver quit the Wednesday before my surgery and I didn't find out til the Friday AFTER my sx ... didn't get a permanent caregiver til this past Monday ... so I was a whole week without one ... that also bit! lol ... it's all good ... I'll be fine ... SO! How are YOU? and P? and the little kittens?
Jax and PoohBear got their summer buzz cuts ... The groomer gave Jax a "mohawk" cut, lol ... she left about 4 inches a little wide on his back and it sort of looks like a mohawk ... it's kind of cute ... My elderly neighbors having been cooking dinner every night for me since my surgery and I tell you I've been eating very very well ... balanced meals ... I'm craving a junk meal ... hamburger, fries and a malt (don't tell them, though lol;)... their grand-daughter calls Jax -- Jackie boy and PoohBear -- Mister Mister ... she's a doll ... Jim Bob and Barbara Ann are probably in their 70's, just a lovely couple ... I met them through FreeCycle in 2007 when I had my Total Knee Replacement ... they care for me through my recovery then, too ... TOTAL STRANGERS, then too! and they were there every step of the way with my then late husband ... a true blessing God sent my way and they are the measure of true, tried and trusted FRIENDS! Doesn't get any better than that ... Can't say it's my charm that drew them my way, must've been my smile, lol ... nah, just kiddin'... we just connected ... I love them to no end ... and cooks, wow! They are both good cooks ... Well, I'll let your eyes rest now ... I haven't been out much and I'm just getting back to posting so look out ... there may be more, lol ... Enjoy your day, love! >>arms around you<< FC <3 ...

6875 ... looky there, a straight! I bet pot roast and veggies tonight ...

'Afternoon' to all here,
pouring rain here, hope it won't affect
the match today.

See the 'horse meat' scandal is hotting up..
now seemingly, it is widespread across Europe..

I think it is disgraceful, fooling people
like that, selling a product as 'beef'
when in fact it is something entirely,
some products were 100% horse meat, and now
they are trying to trace what by products
were in that horse meat consumed..

I don't eat meat, and yet,
I can honestly say...
I'd find it difficult to even buy
a vegetarian product from FINDUS,
who are also involved.
as WHO can believe what's actually in it!

I'm glad, at least that Ireland, was the first
to do a spot check on the quality of meat consumed,
and by doing so ... opened up
a whole hornet's nest [in a beneficial way].

Good greetings to all on the thread.

Good day to all!
Brighteyes has just discovered Monty Python, specifically, the Holy Grail and Life of Brian!

The horse meat scandal in Europe just hit the local paper here. I saw an article on the web AND in the USA Today paper about a week ago. It seems there is a scandal once a week! Alas, another cup of coffee and with my own scandalous behavior, a little brandy in it! LOL! Cheers.
Let the games begin...
Peace.
