Good Afternoon Lady Eleanor...
I hope that this is a great day for You and Yours and that you will have fun and enjoy yourself every chance you get...
It's supposed to rain and maybe even snow a little again today here in the valley...
So My big plans are to stay warm and dry...
:o)
I was gonna go out and do some grocery shopping but I decided to put that off until tomorrow..
The rain and stuff is supposed to have cleared out by then.. Today will be one of those days when my mop feels used..hahahaha
OK so I guess I'll surf around for a few minutes then decide what household chore I need to do first... There is always something that needs doing.. Sending you and yours my best and warmest wishes...

Hi Rose...I don't blame you one bit, if you don't need to go out then don't...that has been my motto all these cold months, farthest I got half the time was the garden....
Has been a beautiful day today, only 48F but sunny most of the day, took the family over to Criccieth and we sat in a shelter overlooking the bay having a little picnic, first time I have seen the sea this year...did a little shopping, bought, of all things, some really fancy mugs, really pretty.
Tonight, gave the pets their tea as per usual, some of them turned their noses up at their meal, or picked and left some behind in their dish, our own meal was almost ready, when I heard a commotion outside as three had gone out briefly...opened the door and the stray I mentioned was crying desperate for food...I unceromoniously bundled our three through the door, and like lightening, got a dish, chopped some brawn into it, wrenched open a pouch and put one in the dish for taste, and scattered a handful of dried food on top, took it out and this beautiful cat wolfed it down.....then she took shelter under the chalet for a wash ...I could break my heart thinking of her there, all this spoilt lot cosy in their beds or draped on radiators.....
My hands are tied at the moment until Friday, then I will make every effort to find out where this cat belongs, as she is in wonderful condition, I would say has not been homeless for very long.
She now approaches me so that is a step in the right direction.
Sending you my love and warm wishes this wintery day....<3

Hi Again Lady Eleanor...
It sounds like you had a wonderful day and NO ONE Deserves it More Than You..
I think I'm addicted to Coffee Mugs.. Everytime I go Shopping I just have to look and see what is available even though I already have enough to make coffee for 8 or more.. and if I break out my Moss Rose China then I can set a table for 30 cups of coffee or tea at the least... Right now I am using a big solid black one... it holds about 16oz.
It's been a damp and chilly day for the most part.. We hit the mid 40's and there for about an hour the sun was out then the rain came in and it is still here... Had a pretty good downpour this past hour...I dread going out into that mess... but I will be doing just that around 9:00PM...
Bless your kind and gentle heart for giving that stray a good meal... and for having a place it can seek some shelter.. I'm sure you could make friends with it... I hope that you will be able to find the folks it belongs to..
My Sister is the Cat Lady of our Family and she has 4 outdoor Feral cats that come to her everyday for their dinner.. They will come close to you but have never allowed themselves to be petted...
The only cat she has in her house was a kitten from that same family of cats..
Thankfully Alley Cat Advocates came and picked them up and spayed and nutered them all... My Sister agreed that she would take care of them... She's been doing that for a very long time now.. and they all love her and know the sound of her car... When they hear it they come running...
We call them the Beggin' Paw Clan because when they want something they hold up one of their paws... sadly those 5 will be the last of a family of cats that I have known for the past 30 years...
I myself have owned 4 from that family... Fanman, Casey Jones, Fanman Jr. and Ashes...
I hope that your night will be a good one and I hope that all of your dreams will be sweet... Sending You and Yours all of my best wishes...
((Love-n-Hugs))

San Fran must have made a tremendous comeback ---- albeit not enough ---- because by the time I turned in for the night it was like 34-3.

Hope you won your bets. Everyone I spoke with had their money on San Fran :(

DUBLIN (Reuters)- Burgers containing horse DNA have been discovered at a second plant in Ireland, the country's agriculture department said on Monday, again pointing the finger at Poland as the country of origin for the raw materials.

Major food companies like Tesco and Burger King last month found that beef products supplied by an Irish firm contained horse DNA, a scandal that has hit retailers with a wave of bad publicity and left Ireland's 2 billion euro ($2.7 billion) beef industry reeling.

Results of tests on a Polish meat ingredient at Ireland's Rangeland Foods, a supplier of frozen burgers to restaurants, caterers and pubs including local fast food chain Supermac's, contained 75 percent horse DNA, the agriculture department in a statement.

It said Rangeland has suspended production pending the outcome of an investigation and that the company has indicated that none of the products, which were imported through a meat trader based in Ireland, had entered the food chain.

Rangeland, based in the northern county of Monaghan, exports burgers to Britain, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece and Cyprus.

The minister of agriculture has also asked the police to join in the investigation, the department added.

The first supplier to be implicated, Silvercrest - a subsidiary of Europe's largest beef exporter ABP Foods - has lost its contract to supply both Tesco and Burger King with burgers.

Burger King, one of the most popular fast-food chains in Britain and Ireland, said last week that its affected burgers never reached any eateries. Tesco withdrew a number of products from its shelves, including one sample where horse meat accounted for about 29 percent of content.

Smaller retail chains Aldi, Lidl and Iceland have also sold beef products found to contain horse DNA.

Poland's veterinary authority found no signs of horse meat in samples from five slaughterhouses that were sending beef to Ireland and is awaiting results from the sixth, state news agency PAP reported on Friday.

Food safety experts say horse DNA poses no added health risks to consumers, but the discovery has raised concerns about the food supply chain and the ability to trace meat ingredients.

Didn't lose him - he was buried in Greyfriars monastery after his death at Bosworth Field in 1485. The monateries were dissolved in 1536-8, which meant that their buildings were robbed of the stone, amongst other things. Over time, other buildings went up on the site. Currently it's a municipal car park. Archaeologists have now discovered the site of the monastery and with it, the bones of Richard III.

Most of my pet peeves have to do with bad drivers ... like the guy who waits for the red light to turn green, they proceed forward 1/4 a car length, then turn on thier left turn signal ... leavin gyou stuck behind him until the light turns red adn you wait an entire cycle till the next green light.

Or people who drive slower than the speed limit ... at some point you have a chance to pass them, and they speed up so you can't pass them ...
