True - it's laziness as much as ignorance I fear. In Cornwall, the real irritant for me is the phrase enquiring where somewhere is situated. They say "where's that to?" - I feel like yelling, "it's not 'to' anywhere, it's where it is."!
LOL In Texas we say we are fixing to go to the store :) Fixing to do a lot of things

I never know if it is a bacon Buddie or a bacon Butter ? Is is partner or pardners :) I spell so poorly because I have a good ear and we pronounce thing wrong. In Texas you will never hear anyone say barbed wire. It is Bob waar

Yes, and ....
Speaking of 'to'[if I may come in here]
Many posters here, I have noticed, use 'to' for 'too'
Example:
I'd LIKE A COFFEE 'to'
instead of 'too'
A mistake I make all the time :)

The big problem here now in colleges is that with social media and texting slang young people cannot write a coherent sentence.
I think texting will change our language in time

Hey there Denny! Glad you seem to be fast on the mend. It's a beautiful soft snow up here. Our yard abuts a county forest preserve and the snow on the naked trees looks lovely. Dogs want to go out in it every 5 minutes ----- driving me crazy!

Good Sunday to you :-)

Disappeared? What, if there's minimal activity does topix just erase it? I haven't checked mine in ages. Working too hard in the Kitchen.

Hey Lady Eleanor...
It snuck up and snowed all over my yard last night...
It was a beautiful thing to look at till I had to go out in it and leave foot prints all over the place.. Josie was Lovin' it though..
She cracks me up attacking the snow and jumping around in it...
The Chi-Kids are not fond of it so they just hit their marks and are ready to head back indoors as quick as they can...
I'm gonna make a run out to the homeless shelter today and drop off some sweaters and coats...
I am truely grateful for all I have and I can't help but count my blessings when there are so many without even the basics...
Sending you all of my best wishes and a bunch of love...
((Love-n-Hugs))

Dear Rose...wonderful visual of the pack and their different
attitude to the snow....it's still hanging around then? I
see some from my window up in the hills in the crook of the
dry stone walls...apart from that, it has all gone here.
My snowman disappeared overnight, no goodbye, nuttin'....lol
A very generous gesture on your part my friend, and a good
example...after all, we only need so much. I would dearly love
to get back to minimalistic living...am starting by taking
excess kitchen ware to the charity shop, have far too many cooking
utensils for instance. How many Pyrex dishes does one household
need?
Will wish you Adios for now and wishing a great day for you..<3

Dear Flower...I had no idea! I hope by now you are well on
the road to recovery and getting better by the day.
In the 70's you say..! There you go making me jealous again, lol
Kidding, as I actually love the Winter months...the dark cosy nights
