She pats your back with tenderness...
She pushes you to go on...
She stands against you with force..
She holds you back without arms...
She glides your kite in circles...
She lifts your paper plane higher...
She's no friend to the water...
She is fuel to a fire...
She can make leaves go dancing..
She tears down trees with ease...
She runs both hot and cold...
She can cause you to sneeze...
She is calm and she's gentle...
She is fierce and She's cruel...
She has many names she's called...
As this rhyme is at end...
She is howling her name now...
She says.. "I AM THE WIND"...

Good Morning Lady Eleanor..
I hope that this day will be a good one for you and I hope that you will have warmth and sunshine...
It's 3:45 Am and I would like to be asleep right now but there is a big storm moving through and we are under a tornado watch.. My neighbor has some very tall trees in their yard and those trees are right behind my bedroom... So I've decided to try sleeping in the recliner if the sound of the wind would just die down some...
So Here I am wanting to be asleep and not being able to do that I decided to write a poem... I hope that you like it and I hope that you don't mind my posting a poem again so soon after that other one...
Sending you all of my best wishes for Peace, Love, Health and Happiness...

Good Morning Dear Rose,
Was catching up on the past day or so and found yours on the Rose.
That poem spoke to me, really enjoyed it, and you know what, I
hadn't noticed until I read it, the rose I mentioned to you before
the Winter months stung, is still clinging to the branch...pink not
blue, but a rose by any other name!...:)
Well I hope you at least manage to get some good rest in your recliner,
like all things bad, the wind will soon die out, and I hope all will
be safe around you...
Speak later..sending good thoughts and love your way

Good afternoon/evening to all.
Last week, someone mentioned fiddles poking up in their yard. I had to take a look at our flower beds and lo and behold, fiddles! Then 4 inches of powdey snow days later. The Mrs is fretting what the yard will look like come spring...
Today a balmy 62F, I think that is around 15C, here in Columbus, Ohio. We get one more blast of cold air by the end of the week. Hopefully, February will have less of the see-saw weather.
Have a great day all!
'Morning Boomer...
Can you put me out of my misery and tell me, what are Fiddles?
Or is it a silly question? Quite a snowfall you had, ours is all
gone around here now and am sweeping up after it, little bunches of
snowdrops all around our small garden, and the Daffs are about to bloom.
It's pretty cold but sunny..a great Wintery Day.
Have to laugh at our 'resident' grey squirrel, he sits on a tree branch
outside the kitchen window to catch my eye, I dutifully go out with a
biscuit for him, he is partial to Custard Creams, it's the funniest thing to see him running back to wherever with his biscuit firmly held
in his jaws. Of course, neighbours think it unwise to feed the squirrel, but I get a lot of pleasure out of it and it saves the nut holders by being chewed into oblivion.
Have a great day there in Ohio.

Ah, I know who you mean, wasn't aware of the name. So they suspect
a 9 year old? A sibling? It has died a death here so would be
grateful if you keep us posted. Thanks Tally.

I have to tell this joke,
please excuse if you consider it
a bit rude ..
but I personally think it's wit

A Man meets Rolf Harris in Tesco shopping
area - suddenly recalling the lovely
song Rolf made famous called "TWO LITTLE BOYS"
he said, excitedly >
'OMG, it's Rolf Harris, isn't it?-
weren't YOU the one who did two little boys back
in the 70's?'
'FEK OFF'(says rolf, all offended)
'I did NOT - your mixing me up with Jimmy Savile'
LOL! ha ha!
That's what I was afraid of yesterday, had to batten down the hatches
but today, much nicer, and the sun is out.

Laughed at this one Grace, shades of Mrs. Brown!

Did you watch Monday's episode? He is genius! Love him and all the
cast. Brilliant.

Twas lovely and bright and sunny here
when I got up so I decided to
put on a big wash!
you guessed.. by the time 'twas ready,
a black cloud moved over and it's pouring now!!!!

El,
Yes MRS BROWNE'S BOYS continues to be v funny,
I find it amazing how that show is aloud
to get away with the full 'F' word!
eventho' it's funny in the context
and meant to be harmless:

I hear Tesco has finished business with the
" Silvercrest Co.."
where the horse DNA was traced from!

A line full of cushion covers and socks blowing on the line here...
and I mean blowin'....

I know...but after a while you don't notice it, it's funny how
it seems less offensive than other words which it could be replaced by!

I have to say, that programme brings out every emotion...the timing is
perfect.

About the meat...the company should have been checked out beforehand, this is Tescos saving face.

Wash on a line is something you don't see here. Most neighborhood covenants restrict a close line :)

I remember you saying....does this apply to the whole of Texas, surely
not?! It reduces global warming by drying naturally.(as you know Den)

Good day to all!
Lady El, there is that language element again!! Mea culpa.
Fiddles are the little buds that pop up for ferns and bulb type flowers.
Hope everyone in the mid western part of the USA survived the windy front that moved through.

Have a great day folks.

No question the soft rain is more soothing than crashing thunder. One benefit of the CI, once I take it off for the night I'm stone cold deaf so I sleep right through what keeps others awake.
Have a nice day Diamonds!

Good Afternoon Lady Eleanor...
Well I made it through the night but there were a couple of times I got pretty worried... The news is showing scenes of the damage caused in Kentucky and Indiana... Thankfully there wasn't very much in the way of severe damage although on mans Farm up in Salem Indiana is a total loss... They don't know yet if it was a tornado or just powerful straightline wind...
I'm glad you liked the poem.. I had to do something with all of my nervous thoughts...
:o)
I hope that your day has been a good one so far and I hope that your evening will be even better..
Sending you all of my best and warmest wishes...

Good Evening Lady Grace...
I love the smell of laundry fresh off the line but you don't see to many people hanging out laundry around here these days... Sorry the rain decided to show up and mess up your plans...
@}-'--,---

Hi RM...
I love to go to sleep to the sound of thunder rolling down the valley.. It's the dang evil winds that scare the bejesus outta me...I wish my neighbor would do something about the trees in his yard... Last year a branch about 12 inches thick came down right next to my shed. Glad you got a good nights sleep... and I hope that you will have a great day...

What a beautiful cyber name DDR...

I got 'some' of the heavier things hanging out after,
and kept the other bits inside to dry.

I must say tho,
I have noticed a length in the evenings to
lighting up time -

Did you notice?
