A Warm 'Hi' to you,
tell me, what car are you driving these
days? you used give us great advice here about
cars, as I remember - well.. speaking for myself,
of course! I don't know much about a car other
than ho
w to drive it!
I have a little YARIS, serves me well..
economical too.. it's
getting a bit old now..
WHAT new smaller type car would you recommend, Falcon,
when I have to change it?
Hope you don't mind if I jump in GN - have driven a Skoda Fabia for the last 5 years (ignore all the old jokes about them, now they're a VW with different logos). Very economical and has been totally reliasble - having written that, what the thing break down next week!

THANK YOU for this info, T.. will def. keep it
in mind, what I like about the YARIS to
is.. one is seated high up while driving..

I like that better -
other cars you feel nearly on the ground.

I drive an older Chev Blazer... I thought you had a VW Lupo... Ford Fiesta is worth a look, not too sure about the Vauxhall Astra...

Good Morning Everyone...

and thank you for the commiserations, they were
very much appreciated.

I feel dreadful having mentioned it here actually,
it was said on the spur of the moment, in reality,
we had lost touch, my sister-in-law and I. It's
then that one remembers the times we were young,
we met when I was 19 and she 22.
But, a huge loss to her own family and, makes one aware
of one's own mortality, as you have always said Grace.

Soooo....how is everyone, and Praise Be that everything is back to normal in the kitchen.

I can second that Tony, we had a Skoda Felicia as I recall, and it was absolutely reliable, economical and a pleasure to drive.
Running a Vauxhall Meriva SE currently...6 gears..(:...but really
comfortable and so far, reliable.

I WAS just setting about to post here,
when I saw 'you' here El..
and always so good to see your name flashing
up..

Another mucky windy rainy one here,
Ali is frustrated, as, if I take her
to the dog run, she has a great free
run but comes back filthy
and I can hardly walk there, for much..
so it's
plain ole tied up walkies again to day.

Small problem in the great scheme of things, roll
on Spring.

Went to see movie 'DJANGO UNCHAINED'

a Tarantino movie,
absolutely brilliant, but if you are
sensitive to violence [which I am]
but wasn't told about the violence,
it's not for you, I closed my eyes several times..
Set a few years before the Civil War, It's a VERY STRONG movie, and peels back
veil about slavery, shows everything..

Acting was amazingly good,
I was 'blown away' with LEONARDO DiCAPRI'S
performance,
from being no more than a romantic interest
in TITANIC, several years back
WHAT an actor he has turned out to be..
I really think he is up there with
DANIEL DAY LEWIS,
and that IS 'some' compliment.

Wishing you El...
And ALL on the thread..
a good start to the week ahead.

I will make every attempt to see that movie Grace,
having born in mind what you say about the content.
Being prepared does help. I expect watered down it
might lose it's impact, but glad you mentioned it
anyway.
Well poor you having to go out in this weather, it is
difficult when one has a hound to walk, don't blame
you for giving the dog walking area a miss for the time
being.
At least all the snow has melted here, including my snowman!
Water everywhere.

It's the thought that counts..and nobody is worse
than me for delaying sending e-mails etc.

Thought I would mention, the building in Chicago which
was on fire, was on Sky News, looked so beautiful with
the icicles...glad nobody was hurt.

Good morning El. Just when I thought I was getting better I come down with the flu. At least I had my shots so I hope to sweat it out soon. We are going to have storms tomorrow. Warm air clashing with cold . Keep warm and safe
