We do watch animal planet. I found out that Panda is part Siberian. He has the longest tail of any cat I ever owned.
I was thinking 90 minutes from Columbus. So, you start east, we start west. A straight shot would put us close to Indianapolis.
It's a plan! Never been to Indy. I'm actually very close to the Ill/In border --- it'll be an adventure!

Take good care. Hubby just mentioned everyone is getting the flu. In addition to chicken soup - OJ, hot tea and a whole lot of rest!

Cheers to all the kitchen patrons far and wide. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the sights and sounds and smells all around you.

Those of you with inclement weather, be well and be safe. Though devastating for a moment, our thing can be replaced.....loved ones and our memories cannot.

.......and a thank you to all for touching my life...

And.. the same back to you.. RM,
altho'
I sense I'm *not* among your favourites here (Irish & all) but, I
can live with that lol.. I don't have to be!
we are all different.. and are attracted to.. & by different folks.

I made dead sure ... when in France .. to set time aside & come by
*especially* to wish everyone HAPPY NEW YEAR..
and I meant it.. only two folks responded >

'El & 'DEER WHISPERER'..(AND Vee in private by email)

Maybe I should never say this,
but, sometimes, it is good to be true to self!

even old Shakespeare said that(:

DW,

Thank you for this,

I find sometimes thinking on deeper things,
it's more easy to put thoughts into rhyme,
you can go deeper somehow! at least I feel: lol

Hope ....... AND wish you the VERY BEST there is..
as we ALL set sail from the pristine shores of 2013.

Caught half of it before I fell asleep on the sofa (paying for that now - wide awake so a brief burst on here and a large mug of tea). Was written by the same guy who writes Downton Abbey, Julian Fellowes (who is a bona fides peer of the realm: Baron Fellowes of West Stafford). He won an Oscar for the sreenplay for Gosford Park. What I saw seemed pretty accurate historically - Victoria's mother was a scheming cow.
Um! thanks for that snippet & interesting Tony
to hear 'twas by the same person responsible
for the inimitable DOWNTON..
Yes, indeed it had that touch.. most certainly.

LOL

On another note,
I know the feeling of falling asleep BEFORE bed
at the risk of spoiling a whole night's sleep(:
think, we've ALL been 'there' lol

Hope you weren't too tired next day(:

Morning/afternoon to all!
Yes El we have two. My avatar is our "tuxedo cat" Panda. 3 years old, 38 inches long, a little more than a meter, and a whopping 12 pounds, 6 kilos; our other is a Maine Coon mix, Simba, is half the size and weight of Panda. Both were rescue cats.
Two is just nice. Panda is some cat at three feet in length, quite
a handful. We have a couple of heavy weights and in MillyMolly's
case, a lightweight, but she is only tiny. I am trying to get weight on her. Does Simba favour the Maine Coon's personality traits? Beautiful
natured cats.
Two of our youngest were thrown out of their 'home' on Christmas Eve,
three years ago, we thought they were rats when they ran in the kitchen
desperate for food. They are chubby little souls now, puddings on four legs, lol. I was too late aving the female spayed...Rosie Probert is her one kitten...she is a blue/cream tortie with orange eye colour, quite a distinctive little cat.

Wow El! I did not realize you fed them individually! Two are hard enough! But we love our animals, don't we?
Well yes, as they all have different dietary needs. Their
weights vary from 16 lbs to 5 lbs. I knew a lady once who
had two cats, one was big as a house, lol, as he was a fast
eater and ate his own, and his companions meal, the latter
was very skinny. Taught me a lesson. All this bunch have
their own little dish....:)

Look at a map and go 90 minutes east and or southeast and give us the closest town or city. Let us all review and pick the point.
This is like the Around the world Race!
LOL!:)
I was messing about with a map earlier just for the fun of it...and picked a place which is equally accessible to all.
Memphis Tennessee!

<quoted text>Good morning El. How are you doing this fine day. I have been sick for over a week and it is muddy out so the tile floors are a mess. I have company coming tomorrow so I have to mop and I just don't feel like doing it but it must be done :(
LOL Denny! You know that whatever we feel like discussing here
still goes...always has, always will.
We can't always be right, but there are enough of us to put the
other right, and still remain friends.
We can only discuss the weather and pets for so long, right?
Enjoy your company Darlin'...and good luck doing the tile floors!....:)

Firstly,
Sorry to hear you are feeling LOW...
To *ell with the tiled floors..
just put YOU first & explain to your guests
that you are not feeling the best -
make NO apologies for putting YOURSELF first..
I'm sure your friends have ALWAYS valued YOU more highly
than any floors or how clean they might appear.

Best of luck & health
and I mean that.

Good story. Did you do much acting?
I'm hesitant to say too much on Topix, but guess I'll take a risk. Since I'm talking about me,(I am actually the center of the universe- BTW - but my wife won't buy it), my grandma on the other side had 'Young' for a maiden name, so you and me might be related? She was a good Catholic. She was also very musical, so I think I might be related to Angus Young of ACDC. I know, he is an Australian, but, aren't all the Caucasian Australians descendents of convicts from the UK? LOL? Her brothers (from New York) did kind of look like Angus (I would not say she did! lol). They were outgoing and a little 'wild and crazy'- for 70 or 80 year olds.
Thanks Fish. Not really, a few small parts, blink and you would
miss me, but it was very renumerative.
Young. Anglo-Saxon...ancient name.
Based on the information you have, can I suggest you apply for your
grandparents marriage certificate...it would give you a generation back.
Please feel free to PM me if you have anything private to relay..
I read of the crimes those convicts were guilty of...sometimes something
as small as stealing a loaf of bread in order to survive...
Your ancestors sound characters by the way...:)

Wish I had known it was on Grace, I was so taken up with
watching a re-run of Clocking Off, I missed it.
That was a long time to outlive her husband!
Bitterly cold here today, how is it across the Irish Sea?
I was talking to a lady in the Vet's waiting room the other day, she always seems to be there when I go, has a Dalmation who is being monitored for weight loss....
She remarked that when she was travelling to the place, she
was struck by how green the hills were in the near distance,
they would be 'in relief' and outstandingly beautiful, all the
moreso when they are capped with snow.
This lady is English also, so not coming from a mountaineous
area, perhaps we notice it more rather than take it for granted..as some would.
Well, off shortly to put on an early meal..
Do hope you are feeling much better today.
Appreciating this and your reply
re THE WICKLOW MOUNTAINS, EL..

So glad you enjoyed that trip & yes indeed..
some of our home spun scenery here is breathtaking.. admittedly
and renowned to be so..

Having said that SO IS WALES...

LOL

something we hold in common.

Did you see 'POWERSCOURT GARDENS' in your Wicklow travels?
I always remember with certain fondness .... the pet cemetery there..
and the heart rending inscriptions.

'Thank you' for asking El..

Yes, I feel MILES better today, glad to say
the cold was kind enough to know
'where it wasn't wanted' lol... and so left me.. rather promptly(:

Very much alike Grace...and both matched equally by the beautiful
Lake District in Northern England...again a place beloved by poets.
Unfortunately no I did not see Powerscourt Gardens, an excuse to
come again!
Glad to hear you gave that cold it's marching orders, well done!
