The following clip (website) describes the -blunt- of the problem.
http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/story/26310601/lo...

If they do still have jurisdiction over the town I have a suggestion for them.
If there are further riots and arrests for loitering or not obeying police officers
I suggest the police give them a drug test and mental competency evaluation test before
(in-front-of) several community leaders (residents of the town).
That'll put the -blame- where it belongs...

There's many people to blame for what is going on in Ferguson, Missouri the first person is the police chief who should be fire over a week ago.The office who shot this unarmored young black man 6 times. Should have been fired as well plus book and charge with 2nd degree murder. Then all these problems would have not happen. With all the rioting and needing the national guard to stop all this BS. What it going to take to someone to use basic common sense or after more people die or get injury.

Mega Monster there is some logic in what you say but your emotions override it!
Considering Ferguson is basically a black community and the local police force is from out of town the officer should have been arrested immediately.
Then the case should have been investigated ASAP and results made public.
This town already had trouble brewing before this incident, having a police force with no local employees is a evil force in itself - look what happened when the 'Militia' came in? You don't take over people by force you use reason (Obama's got to learn that or he's in serious trouble here!)
Sorry to say, "common sense" was not deployed in this seriousness!

I believe arresting this officer, this whole issue would have been put to rest. But just putting him on suspension duty with pay just may it more of a up rising with the black community over it all. Well that's correct it's was all done wrong from the start. But the Chief of police needs to take the full responsibility on what happen with what has been going on in this city now. I am really surprise he has not resign over this yet.

Disagree! What about a curfew? Why are the protestors throwing things at white reporters? The officer feared for his life. Unless you are in his shoes, don't be so fast to judge! Get all the information first before judging.

I gotta believe there's many more facts to surface in the near future so I reserve judgement, let the justice system run its course, may not be perfect but it's all we got.

My point is that this cop shot this unarmed black young man 6 times not just once but 6 times. If this was anyone else it would have been in handcuffs and taken down and booked for murder 2 end of story. So the laws are different for police officer then? How can he be fear for his life when he was the only one with the gun. I am not judging just going by what I seen and read from the news and confirmed reports. Plus this is United States of America we do not live in a Marshall law country unless you enjoy having the government telling you what you can say or do and go not for this guy. The people are pissed because they have not gone by the laws set down for killing unarmed man. But i sure your feeling would be completely different if this was one of your family members who was gun down like this and they try to sweep it under carpet. Oh well it was just a accident lets just move on chalk it up as inexperience cop with a gun yea that works.

a thought or two: all, all peoples are assumed innocent until proven guilty
by their peers..........

why does the chief need to be fired .... what is his crime

isn't it true outsiders are coming into the town..... are they protesters or are they looters/agitators ........

and of course the media is innocent .........

I would say the first instinct of any police officer would be to reach for
his taser with the intention of immobilising the aggressor.
Not empty his gun into him.
This reeks of the officer losing control and therefore he should not be representing
the people.
We saw the actions of another police officer on the morning news here, when he
pointed a rifle at a protester's face and threatened to kill him. We all know the
duress the police are under, but surely this would incite more grievances against
the police.

# 1 GO with a gun and shoot someone and you see what will happen to you. First you will be arrested then book and brought to trail or plead out. Now if this young black man was unarmed the cop had no right to shoot him 6 times they have stun guns he used over deadly force to stop his young man in a fight. So you get in a fight you have the right to shoot the person you fighting with 6 times that would be a NO.

I said the cop should be arrest and book just like any other citizen would be not some special treatment. This is why there having these riots makes sense to many of why they are.

#2 The Chief did not follow basic rules with a officer shooting everything going on is the fault of that man who leads this department it's the police chief no one else. The head guy gets fires just like a football head coach or any sport they fire the head coach if the team doesn't play well. Basic common sense.

# 3 If the right procedures by the Chief was follow of this cops shooting of this young black man where follow these riots would not be happening now. Calling the national guard has made the problem worse trying to enforce a curfew on Americans citizen this is not Cuba but the U.S.A.

1st problem .... the officer is innocent until he is charge like any body else[ FI CARD] field investigation .......the victim is a suspect in the commission of a crime . not a innocent JOE walking by .......... the chief hasn't a thing to do with this.... should you be fired if your were a foreman and one of your crew did an act

It clearly shows you have zero law enforcement and/or medical experience. Can't even wait for ALL the facts. How would you like to be judged by heresay?

The cop was badly beaten by the thug who had just robbed a store. He fouht to retain control of his gun. He was charged by a 300 pound man and he had no choice to shot the guy. He would have been dead had he not stopped the man with deadly force
