I still play softball (re: senior) in the summers. Football is a little risky if you're not a professional - heading back into work on Monday with a torn ACL would be a b!tch.

<quoted text>I should point out to you...that though i am a fan of the PBR....i am not a bigfan of some of the rest of the rodeos, as we went often, when i was younger and i can vividly recall seeing a calf killed once and broncs and bulls being ripped open on their sides from too much spurring by the contestants.....PBR is quite different, because the stock contractors protect their investments and those top bulls are often worth $50-$200,000 each....i just don't like any animal abuse...
I know local stock contractors and their bulls are taking care of. Nothing like what you are talking about. Some of them are better cared for than some ppl do for their own children.

PBR bulls are very expensive, you can check out their prices online.

I don't like animal abuse either. My barn is a rescue barn for horses...

I'm sure you know then, that rodeo's can be a little rough on some of the livestock.....Have you ever seen the documentary, Buck?.....about the guy that was the technical advisor for the movie, Horse Whisperer....he is just amazing with green horses, with no roughness at all....I think his last name is Branaman....

My family and I saw the PBR down by us last month. It was awesome. I'd definitely go again.

In college we used to play tackle football and two guys ended up going to the hospital during one game.

Growing up in New England, hockey was a given, but I still have my front teeth. But football and hockey are badmitten compared to rugby.

Not if you are playing backyard tackle football, without any pads or helmets.

Of course we played that, real serious games. Lots of lumps and bruises, and lots of fun.
