This is a time when we are all saddened about what depression can do. So everyone, think about it, take a look at the contacts list in your phone. If you see someone that you haven't heard from in a while, give them a jingle. You never know who is suffering from depression. Sometimes they are the most cheerful person you know. Many times one of the first signs that a person is suffering is simply withdrawing from the world. A person may still be going to work, telling jokes and putting on a good game face, however, once the "game" is done for the day, this person may simply drop on the couch and struggle to find the strength to take a shower or make dinner. The phone doesn't ring, nobody comes by, horrible lonely and dark thoughts run through the mind. And for some people, this cycle goes on for days, weeks and months. You CAN make a difference. Check on your friends, just because they were at work today or in the grocery store this weekend doesn't mean that everything is ok. Give somebody a call today, YOU could be a lifesaver!

What a beautiful thoughtful post. You really are 2 special ! My wife suffers from depression and I was very worried when she retired. The retirement brought about a complete change in her and she is so much better! The stress of her job was the reason for here depression. She now exercises every day and we get out and go somewhere every day :)

Wow. That was amazing...
Mr. Williams was very open re his depression/mental illness/ alcoholism... One reason he was so great was his mental illness... I saw him on an interview.. He was all over the place adlibbing.. Hysterical... And mentioned he had gone off his meds ...said he lost a lot of his creativity zoned out...
As celebs go.. I saw him as a kind hearted fella with issues that were bigger than him....but brilliant..one of our greats..
RIP. Robin...

Maybe he'll make his next movie with Matt Demon!
I don't want him.
He inspired, brought laughter, and made too many ' comfortable.' with themselves.

but I ' do ' like you......you're my kinda guy.
