Borrowed this from someone on another thread..Am going to try this for Thanks Giving...Dessert..
Cranberry cream cheese salad.

1 8 oz box of low fat soft cream cheese
1 8 oz box of low Fat sour cream
1 3 oz package of lemon jello

Topping
1 3 oz package of red raspberry jello
1 12 oz can of cranberry jelly

Mix well, the cream cheese, sour cream and dry lemon jello. Then spread the mixture in an 8” sq dish, then chill in the ice box for 1 hr.
Then make the raspberry jello with 1 cup of hot water and add the can of cranberry jelly, mixing until the cranberry jelly is dissolved, then add 1 cup of cold water. Then pour the mixture over the chilled cream cheese mixture, cover or place the lid on the container and chill 4 hrs or over nite in the ice box.

{{Chunky Apple Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting}}

{The batter for this moist spice cake will be thick, but resist the temptation to add more liquid.}

1/2 cup of butter, melted

2 cups sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

4 Granny Smith apples, peeled & sliced

Stir together first 4 ingredients in a large bowl until blended.

Combine flour & next 3 ingredients; add to butter mixture,stirring until blended. Stir in apple & 1 cup walnuts. Spread into greased 13- x 9-inch pan.

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Spread with Cream Cheese Frosting; sprinkle with walnuts, if desired. Yield: 12 to 15 servings.

*Cream Cheese Frosting*

{Prep: 10 minutes}

1 {8-ounce} package cream cheese, softened

3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened

1 1/2 cups powered sugar

1/2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoons vanilla extract

Beat cream cheese & butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add sugar & salt, beating until blended. Stir in vanilla.

Yield: 1 2/3 cups.

Stole this from another thread.. I have made it before.. BUT had unfortunately lost my Recipe...Try It!

Pumpkin Cheesecake(baked in
microwave) very easy to make and tastes great!

FILLING:
>
2packs 8oz cream cheese
>
1cup canned pumpkin
> 4 eggs
> 2/3cup sugar
> 1 teaspn imitation brandy extract
> 1/4tspn ground cinnamon
> 1/4 tspn ground nutmeg
> 1/4 tspn ground ginger
>
> TOPPING:
> 1/2c sour cream
> 2 tablespns powder sugar
> 1/4tspn imitation brandy extract
>
> use graham cracker pie crust
>
> microwave cream cheese 50% for 2-4 min or until soft enough to mix
> add your filling ingredients and beat at medium speed of electric
mixer until well blended
> microwave @ high for 4-5 mins or until mixture is very hot & starts
to set, beating w/wisk
> every 2 mins.
> Pour filling into pie crust and place & place in microwave @50% for
7-15mins or until
> center is almost set(filling becomes firm as it cools)
> chill for 1hr
>
> In small bowl, combine topping ingredients & stir well until
smooth. Spread topping over
> cheesecake. Refrigerate @ least 8 hrs or overnight

Cranberry Salad
One Cup of Sugar
Two Apples/ diced
Two oranges/ juice and grated peel
Walnuts/ chopped
Cranberries/ one or two bags ground.
mix together and let marinate. good with turkey ond potatoes and everything else that gets on your plate.

Ok all these foods are making me hungry lol
my younger two are heading out tomorrow morning for Thanksgiving. My oldest has football practice so it will just be me and him. Not going to cook a big meal for just me and him. Think we may hit up waffle house

two corn tortillas...two slicees provolone cheese.
One quesadilla.(grilled or fried).

Some coffee.
I'm not sure why it's a holiday recipe...but it's close to the holidays.

Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

* 1 egg
* 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
* 3/4 cup white sugar
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
* 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
* 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
* 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
* 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
2. Add the sugar gradually to the pumpkin puree. Beat well an stir in the flour, salt and spices. Stir in the corn syrup and beat well. Stir in the slightly beaten egg, then slowly add the evaporated milk, mixing until well blended. Pour the batter into the unbaked pie shell.
3. Bake at 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) for 10 minutes then reduce the oven temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees F) and continue baking pie for an additional 30 minutes or until a knife inserted into the mixture comes out clean.

"Sinful Dessert"[addicting]
German chocolate cake mix
1 can Eagle Brand milk
1 jar hot fudge sauce
1 lg. container Cool Whip
6 Heath candy bars (sub. with Clark bar, etc.)
Bake German chocolate cake. While still warm, punch holes in it and pour Eagle Brand milk over it. Also while still warm, pour a jar of hot fudge sauce over cake. Let cool. Spread with Cool Whip. Then sprinkle 6 crushed Heath Toffee candy bars over that.

Golden Au Gratin Potatoes
1 Can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 Tub 8 Oz sour cream
3/4 melted butter (divided)
3 Tbs dried minced onion
1/2 tsp salt
1 32 oz package southern style hash browns (semi thawed)
2 1/2 Cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 1/2 Cups crushed corn flakes

In large bowl combine soup and sour cream, half the butter, onion and salt. Stir in the potatoes and cheese. Transfer to a greased 13X9X2 baking dish. Toss the cornflakes and the remaining butter and sprinkle over the potatoes. Bake uncovered at 350 for 50-60 minutes. Yields 8-10 servings.

*Great along side the bacon topped meatloaf.

Bacon Topped Meatloaf.(MMMMMM)

1/2 Cup chili sauce
2 eggs Lightly beaten
1 Tbs worcester sauce
1 med Chopped onion
1 Cup shredded cheddar cheese
2/3 Cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 Lbs lean ground beef
2 bacon strips halved

In bowl combine the first 8 ingredients, crumble beef over mixture, mix well. Shape into a loaf in an ungreased 13X9X2" baking dish.(or loaf pan) Top with bacon. Bake uncovered at 350 for 70-80 minutes, or until meet is no longer pink and meat thermometer reads 160. Drain, and let stand for 10 minutes before cutting. Yields 8 servings.

SPARKLING WATER

INGREDIENTS:
1 glass sparkling water
1 ham

DIRECTIONS:
Put ham in water

INSULIN AU GRATIN

INGREDIENTS:
1 insulin shot
15 lbs. block of cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS:

Bury insulin shot in cheese. When you’re going into a diabetic coma, just eat your way to the shot!! Eat the cheese fast or you’ll die

FRUIT SALAD

INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. bag of Skittles
3 cups ranch dressing

DIRECTIONS:

Mix well. Serve room temperature.

This an old family recipe- Rum cake. My Dad used to make this all the time. You take one sponge cake, throw it at your wife, and then down a bottle of rum. Enjoy.
