Guy is likely going to go to jail for a long time too.

He gave up his liberty to do the right thing and inform all of us what our government is doing in the name of our safety.

He embarrassed (if that's possible) our Pres, so they are going after him.
After all, it's just another life.

The program has grown like topsy. If the IRS and other agencies has been used for political targeting then the intelligence agencies can be used for the same reasons. I don't trust the government

This guy didn't tell us anything we didn't already know unless of course you have been living under a rock since 9-11.

I don't know how I feel about this yet.

It's not new info but this guy took an oath and he broke that oath. I have a problem with that. I also feel he was not qualified to have access to the info he has.

Maybe he's just looking for his 15 mins. of fame.
Maybe he thinks he won't get caught.

I don't know if I consider him a traitor but I damn sure don't onsider him a hero.

I personally think there is to much info giving out to the public about homeland security and other government issues.
Because what we hear so does those that want to harm us.

Think about that....

Here's something to consider - the NSA isn't the only organization that monitors emails, texts and phone call contents.

Try this if you doubt me:

Send an email to a friend and say, "I am planning a trip to Disneyland this summer - want to join me in Florida? I'll pay for the airfare, you take care of the hotel - let me know."

Sign out of your email account.

Wait about a half hour, then sign back in to your account.

Tell me what advertisements you see on each side, the top and the bottom of the page. Getting spammed by Disneyworld, Southwest Airlines, Motel 6 and Florida Department of Tourism?

Guess what? The NSA did that exact thing - only they weren't scanning for key words for marketing purposes.

<quoted text>I agree. I don't see him as hero or traitor and this is nothing that we shouldn't have seen coming when the Patriot Act came to be. I remember reading about the spying on the phone calls in '06. I think the GOP might be running out of halfassed, bogus *scandals*. He also should have known what he was getting into.
I agree with you. Makes me wonder if there's more to this story other than letting Americans know what we already knew.

I smell a rat!!!!!:)

Exactly, Google and others know exactly what we do online. Where we shop, what we shop for, online banking and bill paying habits, who we talk to. etc..

Thats why I don't understand the big SHOCK and AWW about all this.

Old news!!!

And I've noticed just by my name here ( Ohio cowgirl) that I get alot of Western/Cowboy related pop ups..
