Tragedy or not, we should always have fun and horse around. We didn't elect you as mare of Offbeat. We should give room to others to be themselves and never nag them.
There is such a thing as bad taste and I am not the only one who feels that way on this thread. There are plenty of other threads you can "horse" around on which certainly focus on less somber things. I have made my statement on this and continue to hold to it without apology.

In spite of my posts and how they seem to others, I was not angry...perhaps a little disappointed when I read the post. If you make a post worthy of a prop, I still won't hesitate to give you one and I have enjoyed many of your puns in the past.

This is Offbeat the land of bad taste. Back in the day it amazed me to see how people saw a thread about terrible things happening to others and they all lined up to try and out do others with funny remarks.

It's how some handle the bad things that happen all around us on a daily basis. We were never meant to know more than what is happening in our village and maybe one or two near us. Our minds and bodies are just not wired for it. Now we get 24 hour news about what is going on around the world and mostly just the bad things, as that is what sells.

So you see, you either have to realize that people being what they are, some will joke about just about anything. It's a way to cope.

You have to either roll with it or not read and post at certain threads. Otherwise you will always be upset with some of the people here and posting just becomes a trial instead of a fun pasttime......

Chose your battles or you will always be in a war.....

Bad taste or not, you are not in charge of me, and I have the right to say what I want and be me no matter what. I've never rebuked you without direct provocation from you. Whether I am in bad taste or not is not your business. Unless I say something about you, your friends, or your family, you have NO right to rebuke me.

I have never wanted friends in life, just the freedom to be me, to struggle alone in front of others without interference, and for ALL others to stay out of my way. If I need corrected, I or an actual authority over me will do so. That is their place, not yours.

I will do whatever it takes to have the right to say what I want, no matter how in bad taste someone's bigoted mind finds it. As bad taste as it might be I am not above praying curses on people who post to me in such a manner.

You saw my tentative acceptance of an apology by another poster who has a similar spirit to yours. I only accepted it tentatively as it is only accepted on the basis that she never try to rebuke nor correct me again. The moment she attacks me by rebuking me for what I say about a 3rd party which has do direct ties to her, her "apology" will be shown to be an insincere lie. I am willing to forgive, but that is predicated on the person admitting they are wrong, apologizing, seeking restitution, and making sure they never do whatever again.

By the way, it is JUST a horse. We should all get over ourselves. So many get upset over the treatment of mere animals while advocating cruelty against their own kind. Abuse and disrespect fellow humans in the name of mere animals. Sure sounds like a winner. I don't see why we cannot eat horse meat. They do in other parts of the world. But here, there is so much anthropomorphization, girly horse movies, and sentimentality over a mere animal. A lot of the same "animal lovers" would think nothing about ripping an 8-month old fetus out of a human female or freeing a monster who raped and killed a dozen innocent women from death row. Save a horse, whale, or dolphin, murder a human. The same was true in slave days. Horses got better treatment than slaves. Only a sick horse got a bullet to the head, but if a slave was combative or tried to gain their freedom...

Since you don't own me, you have no place to be disappointed with ANYTHING I say or do. The only person who has a right to be pleased with me is me. Nobody else has the right to notice anything about me nor care.

I expect you to either post positive things to me EVERY TIME you post to me or not post to me at all. Please make up your mind to either be my friend or to try to immorally exercise authority over me, but not both.

If you were not full of hate and anger, it would have been impossible for you say what you did to me.

I only joked about hypothetical things, but you directly attacked me. I did nothing to warrant your rebuke. By telling me my words were in bad taste, you were saying you owned me and thus had a right to do so. If you didn't mean to try to jockey for power over me and immorally pretend to own me, you could not have said what you did. So your actions prove more than your words.

I remember when I was around 7 years old,
coming home one day, along a country road,
in summer, sun shining, birds singing,
not a care in the world..

suddenly I saw
a horse in a field who got caught up in
barbed wire, and was 'crying' out..
and stomping about... in pain.

My eyes filled with tears and my natural instinct
was to climb the gate and go to 'help' the horse,
severely lacking in life's experience, and never
dreaming that the horse -
a big muscular work horse - in a frenzy, would have
stomped on me and given me
a quit exit from this life!

However, as I climbed half was up the locked
gate, a farmer came along and roared at me violently
to 'get down now and clear off..
or I'll give you a few lashes of this'
[he was wielding a big stick]

I did so, and quick!
and ran all the way home.. breathless
when I arrived.

Sometimes, angels arrive in our lives
in the most amazing guises.
