Jail in monopoly was like going on vacation. It gave you time to figure out your strategy on what to sell and trade or steal.

Well, the jail never really fit into the game anyway. I mean, you get arbitrarily sent to jail. You don't commit a crime first. Now if they had crime cards in the fortune cards, that would make sense.

No, that is the Dems. The Dems see prisons as racist and punishing things that should not be crimes, and would want to get rid of them. If this were a Republican move, they would add several more jail squares, even add a supermax prison which other players could own and charge every player for running (except the incarcerated).

You can't get rid of jail in the old favorite. It's just an important part of the game. If you take jail away, you would be cutting the difficulty level in half.

seems to me that removing jail from the monopoly game is just reflecting how things are in this day and age. corporations steal, banks steal and no one goes to jail....

Why?

What group was offended now?

It sure as hell wasn't to "woo kids", kids don't play board games anymore idiots.

Probably was considered 'racist' since brown people spend so much time there. Oh wait, brown people don't play Monopoly - they're not smart enough and they're too busy stealing, destroying a neighborhood, or shooting each other and blaming it on white people.

So what's the REAL reason?

Dem don't play Monopoly - it isn't fair that someone has to win and someone has to lose.

They're probably replacing it with a space that reads - "Every player evenly distribute their money with the other players", then everyone receives a participation token and a hug.

I effing hate liberals.

Games imitating life again.

I would still prefer to jail the embezzlers, slavers & thieves in general rather than let them keep control of the ill gotten gains.

Currently there is not a lot of money left in circulation after the jails were removed in the last decade for the wannabe real life monopoly players.

Have a nice day: Ag
