I think most men really do want to help their wife. However,some may feel it makes them seem feminine;and,shy away. The long held stereotype of a macho man,walking down the street spitting,and swinging a chain is only held by "dumbass" women,in my opinion.

Well I wouldn't call them names but I think that they would find most men who care to help their wife are more of a man than those who act like they should be waited on.
