Not to mention the "legal" gunowners with whom we'll have to pry apart their "cold dead hands."

Hi SCI ... heard that on the news at the gym yesterday ... With hip replacement how will A-Rod be able to perform ... he'll miss most of the pre-season and regular season ... and how is he, ever in this world, worth 28 million for 10 years and and alleged 28 mil for 2013? The stigma of PED and steroid still follows him ... I want to believe he's a natural but the doubt will always be there ... I think at one time he even admitted to using ... what a drag ...

Yes, but your partial solution creates more problems than it solves. By taking firearms from law abiding citizens you:
1 Put them at higher disadvantage to the criminals who are not only going to not turn in their guns but continue to aquire more guns from illegal sources.
2 Add more work to an already overtaxed law enforcement system.
3 Eliminate jobs as firearm manufacturers have to downsize their operations.
4 Create more criminals by placing these skilled gun industry employees out of work. Some, not all, will likely turn to crime in order to make ends meet.
Before you worry about the guns in my country, work on eliminating the 2.8 million civilian owned guns in your own country.
very well put Hung-lo :)

Why would they when they can just go to a NRA-sponsored gun event and buy them off the table without a background check?

Putting aside the NRA has insisted the government is going to be grabbing guns any day for the last fifty years.

How many has the government grabbed from you so far?

All guns sold by dealers require a back grounf check. If I want to sell you my personalty owned gun no back ground check is needed

I agree that the marijuana laws need to change, you however are probably hurting the cause.

This is true, and Obama/Biden have been the best sales team the gun industry has had in a long time. However, again this is if gun ownership in the US were to be banned, Gun manufacturers would be forced to downsize and/or close. Maybe those workers could get jobs to support the spike in Cheetos sales brought on by the legalization of pot.

No, the reason I can't prove it is, the pretty little charts you must have as concrete proof aren't out for the last 3 months.

That's just plain stupid! We have a profitable enterprise, so lets tax ourselves out of business. To feed a bunch of lazy assed mooching Democrats no less.

Did you get it yet?
Yeah, since gun control doesn't work, the Government is proposing plans to work at it in the wrong direction.

B] Basically, to carry a long gun you do not have to have a license to carry as long as you are not prohibited from owning a firearm. To carry a handgun openly or concealed in the state of Georgia (other than on your property or inside your home, car, or your place of business), you must have a Georgia Weapons Carry License (or the older Georgia Firearm License) issued under code 16-11-129. To carry a knife designed for offense with a blade over 5 inches you must have a Georgia Weapons Carry License (or the older Georgia Firearm License) issued under code 16-11-129. There are exceptions, read below to find out what those are.
Long Version
Weapons Carry: You are not allowed to carry a weapon (as defined at the top of this page) without having a weapons carry license unless you fit one of the exceptions below (this is in general, there are some places off-limits to carry even with a Weapons Carry License):

The permits in most states do not list owned weapons and canít be used to conduct a trace. Do you really need everything spelled out for you?

The gun in manufactured. The manufacture must maintain a record where each unit is sold. Did I lose you yet?

The gun goes to a distributor and they must maintain a record where they sold it.

The dealer must keep a record of the end user they sold to.

From that point forward the trail may be lost. I keep records but not all people do. There is no legal requirement. The trace could stop at this point.

The state has no rights. In the US the most important part is rights are reserved for the people and limitations are placed on the government.

Try reading the US Constitution one day.

One of the highest suicide rates in the world belongs to Japan, no guns. More than 50% of our annual deaths due to firearms are due to suicides. Remove suicide and justified homocide and our death rate due to firearms is fairly low.

Read this piece

Norway has the highest rate of gun ownership and one of the lowest murder rates. The Netherlands has the lowest rate of gun ownership and has triple the murder rate.

You assume the answer is obvious, itís not.

Because the economy is recovering despite the bozo in the White House?

I just love because of the sequester White House tours need to be discontinued. Did you notice some conservatives stepped up to the plate and offered to pay to keep the tours?

The reality is Obama could skip one game of golf and use that money to pay for more than a year of expenses related to the tours. Better yet, make his wife skip just one vacation and that would pay for years.

Obama is a fraud. Finally the liberal media is starting to suspect something.

He still doesn't have a budget. He's never had a budget. Fraud.
