Keep your land and fool yourself on it. You really believe by removing guns from society will stop murder? Read the bible, was written long before guns. So many died. Hell the second generation was killing each other. Only takes two to make one dead. Capire?

I sure Nancy Lanza insisted she needed to keep her guns- the assault weapons and the automatic handguns.
She had to protect herself from the government taking over...
Once again, Lanza's son was on meds and came from an upper class family. Maybe we should remove meds and money. Using your logic.

Most of the mass school shootings are done by those of money and on meds.

When I mention guns, I do not mean assault riffles. I find absolutely no reason for them in the hands of civilians. And, never will.

Well, I believe they would come in handy if we had a full blown ground war in America. But am not looking forward to it.

The only reason to take law abiding citizens guns is give the federal government more of an edge over the people. If we are constantly in fear, it will make us a more submissive society to everyone including the government. It we are more submissive the government can take what it wants from us without a fight. We already give them our money. Just wait they will take our land.

I am for keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill. How to do that is a bit tricky. Most of the gun crimes are done law breakers. States with the most restrictive gun laws Still have gun violence. I like the idea that the Government knows we have so many guns, kind of lets them know if it gets out of control we can shoot back.

Your thinking is flawed - seriously flawed. Not everyone of the approximately 330+ million Americans own a gun, for starters. And not every law abiding citizen in the United States carries a gun. The only ones that are living in fear and a constant state of paranoia are those that have guns that don't want to lose them or those that live in Chicago, Flint or Detroit.

They've been "taking our money" in the form of taxes for centuries. I don't get your logic, assuming that you are a Republican. You folks went hoarse before the election, screaming that the deficit had to be reduced. Now you complain that the government takes too much of your money in taxes. You can't have it both ways - the money to reduce the deficit won't fall off the magical money tree. Cutting military spending will eliminate thousands of American jobs - hundreds of US companies are only staying afloat by the seat of their pants in the form of government contracts. Here's an idea of how many companies depend on government military contracts:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_100_US_Feder...

Lockheed alone employs over 123,000 people in the US alone. That's a crapload of American jobs.

And lastly, unless you're American Indian, the land that "they" take is not your's to lose in the first place.

I wonder if any of you American pro-gun bonzos realize that making the ownership of guns illegal is the sort of thing you dream of.
You'll be able to argue that the percentage of illegal guns that murder will have taken an enormous drop in statistics, thus giving you cause for campaigning for the legalization of guns once again.
I know you guys are numb-nut buffoons but if you think REALLY HARD you'll figure it out.

You're using a single case of a man shot dead to support your "no guns are dangerous" theme?

In a land WITH guns:

But you're crazy if you think I'm going to name each and every one of the kindergarten, primary school, high school, college, university, post office, church, shopping mall, cinema, traffic jam, drive-by, and "for the insurance money" murder and mass murder that has gone down the pike in the U.S. to prove the point.

According to the National Self Defense Survey conducted by Florida State University criminologists in 1994, the rate of Defensive Gun Uses can be projected nationwide to approximately 2.5 million per year -- one Defensive Gun Use every 13 seconds.

Among 15.7% of gun defenders interviewed nationwide during The National Self Defense Survey, the defender believed that someone "almost certainly" would have died had the gun not been used for protection -- a life saved by a privately held gun about once every 1.3 minutes.(In another 14.2% cases, the defender believed someone "probably" would have died if the gun hadn't been used in defense.)

In 83.5% of these successful gun defenses, the attacker either threatened or used force first -- disproving the myth that having a gun available for defense wouldn't make any difference.

In 91.7% of these incidents the defensive use of a gun did not wound or kill the criminal attacker (and the gun defense wouldn't be called "newsworthy" by newspaper or TV news editors). In 64.2% of these gun-defense cases, the police learned of the defense, which means that the media could also find out and report on them if they chose to.

In 73.4% of these gun-defense incidents, the attacker was a stranger to the intended victim.(Defenses against a family member or intimate were rare -- well under 10%.) This disproves the myth that a gun kept for defense will most likely be used against a family member or someone you love.

In over half of these gun defense incidents, the defender was facing two or more attackers -- and three or more attackers in over a quarter of these cases.(No means of defense other than a firearm -- martial arts, pepper spray, or stun guns -- gives a potential victim a decent chance of getting away uninjured when facing multiple attackers.)

In 79.7% of these gun defenses, the defender used a concealable handgun. A quarter of the gun defenses occured in places away from the defender's home.
