Fool, I’ve stated many times that I don’t smoke. What you don’t seem to understand the no smoking laws as they’re applied to private establishments violate the freedoms of the proprietor.
I don't know what planet you are on, but here on earth, there is a LONG list of things business have to do in order to open the doors to the public, and the list in the USA is longer than most other counties in this universe.

EVERGREEN, Colo.(CBS4)– A Colorado woman shot a gun for the first time in her life after she found her family dog under attack by a mountain lion.

Nancy and Dick Kelley live in the Kittredge-Evergreen area. Their home sits at 7,000 feet elevation. Nancy said she was walking up her outdoor porch stairs when she heard a banging sound around the house, and knew exactly what it was.

The Kelleys own a pair of dogs named Trip and Tilly. Both dogs only have three legs.

“With just the one (front) leg she collapses easily,” Nancy said.

The tripod dogs are family to the empty-nesters who recently moved to their home in the foothills and started spotting mountain lions.

“We were just stunned — two in the backyard and never saw them again,” Nancy said.

Until Tilly was attacked.

“It was banging, and then I heard, I guess growling,” Nancy said.

She immediately thought about the pups who would come and go through the doggie door.

“I knew we have a gun; ‘Where is it?’ I’ve never shot a gun before.‘Do I just point and shoot?’” she said.“It’s like the movies where I kind of came around the corner with my head, but not my body … honestly I really wasn’t afraid as I was angry … I took aim, if you want to call it that, and shot, and was just calling frantically for her.”

The mountain lion fled and Tilly was found tangled in a fence with 30 puncture wounds.

“All we saw was a tail going up and down and up and down, and (Dick) said,‘She’s alive.’“

The animal hospital told the Kelleys that Tilly was the eighth dog in the emergency room that night because of mountain lions attacks.

“The takeaway would be, if you live in the mountains, be aware.”

The Kelleys now do things a little different since they know mountain lions are outside. At night the doggie door is always closed and they escort their dogs outside.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.—A wanted man left behind a path of destruction when he tried to flee police officers trying to arrest him in Daytona Beach early Thursday, police officers said.

Quintonio White, 23, one of "Daytona Beach's Most Wanted," was wanted for a handful of robberies, according to police.

Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood said his officers spotted White in his vehicle and boxed him in, but he allegedly rammed the officer's truck and fled down Mason Avenue where he crashed into a vehicle.

White then burst into a home on Berkshire Road, trying to hide, police said.

"The guy is telling (the homeowner),'The cops are after me, and I'm going to give you $1,000 to hide me.' This guy just got up. He's brushing his teeth," said Chitwood.

Police said the homeowner grabbed a gun.

"During the struggle that goes out on to the porch, the homeowner fires a shot at him, and the homeowner says,'Look, I could have killed him. I didn't want to kill him. I could have killed him. I had the right to kill him," said Chitwood.

Police said White had a gun, too. They said they found a fully loaded magazine on him but believe he dumped the weapon in a nearby cemetery while running.

White tried to tell WESH 2 reporter Claire Metz that there were more people involved, but police said it was a one-man crime wave.

"This is a guy that belongs locked up," said Chitwood.

How does it not?

Explain to me what rules you are going to obey and which you aren't, based on your theory that a person can conduct on private property anyway he/she wants.

MIAMI (CBS4)– Police say two career criminals burglarized a Miami duplex in broad daylight Friday afternoon.

The homeowner, who did not want to be identified, said the pair was in his home and they ran out without taking any of his belongings.

“They kicked the door if that’s how they got in,” said the homeowner.“They ransacked my house wrapped things up but didn’t take anything.”

But that didn’t keep the burglars from going into the neighboring unit, right around the time the person who lives there came home because he forgot something.

Police say he was shocked they were there and happened to have a gun on him. He pulled it out. He shot the intruders in the feet and in the legs. It’s unclear how many times they were hit.

Neighbors heard the gunshots and called 911 and the burglars were taken to Ryder Trauma Center. The man in the first home hit says he is not sticking around.

“I’m not going to stay here I’m out of here as of today,” he said.

The man who police say shot the intruders went with police to give a statement. It is unclear if he will face any charges.

Why can't gun owners step up with their hands and fight like men? Cowards.
You need to slow down and think. For the non-Cowards you speak of, had by far, nastier weapons. Death was much worse by these non-cowards.

Guns did become popular after the Civil war. Crime became more abundant as well. Agree, it is easy to shoot someone from afar, than to ball-up and go hand to hand combat.

Listen, the horse is so far out of the barn, and gone.. as if dust in the wind. Guns are out there. More guns than you can imagine. Not all in the proper hands. There needs to be guns. Is fight fire with fire.

Go on, try this. Take your non-coward self to a gun fight and see how that goes.

Same difference. Take guns from the good hands and only bad hands will have them.

That is just a bad idea.

Better to die by a bullet than have your head slowly cut off with a dull knife.

Coffee shop has a sign outside: maximum occupancy = 100 persons.

Business owner decides he doesn't need to obey that- allow in only skinny people- and says he has room for 150.

What's wrong with that?

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– A teenager is shot to death and his friend is charged with murder, even though he didn’t pull the trigger.

The circuit attorney’s office issued warrants for second degree murder and attempted burglary against 17-year-old Michael Bryant.

Police say Bryant and 15-year-old Demetrius Murphy were trying to break into a home on Tennessee early Friday morning.

Investigators say the 33-year-old homeowner heard them, went outside, and confronted the suspects.

The homeowner then shot and killed Murphy.

The homeowner was questioned, but not arrested.

Under Missouri law, if someone is killed while a felony is being committed, other suspects involved in the crime can be charged with murder. That’s why the accomplice, Michael Bryant, was charged with second degree murder as well as 1st degree attempted burglary.

Murphy’s mother says her son was mentally disabled. She says he was coming back from the store with a friend and she has no idea how he wound up in the backyard of the home.

INKSTER, Mich.(WJBK)-

There is a manhunt underway after a gun slinging couple stormed into a tax preparation business. A security guard was shot and the dangerous duo is on the run.

"Just seeing that footage and knowing that it's two doors down, yeah, I have to get out of here immediately. It's time to go," said Lillie Heard.

She saw the chilling video of the shootout just two doors down from her home on Kean Street in Inkster. The house there has been converted into a tax preparation service. At 2:30 p.m. Thursday, even though a security vehicle was parked in the driveway, Bonnie and Clyde showed up to announce a holdup, but what they didn't know was they were about to get an AR-15 surprise.

The armed couple both had handguns. Surveillance video shows them being greeted at the door by the receptionist. The business owner was sitting in a chair against the wall. The bad guy pointed his gun at the receptionist's head. The security guard in the office pulled out an AR-15 rifle. After the shootout, the security guard lunged to the door.

"The security guard that was inside returned fire, two shots at the suspect. Did not hit him. The suspects then fled the location," said Inkster Police Detective Lieutenant Jeffrey Smith.

The couple ran off in different directions. Police do not believe the man or the woman were wounded.

The security guard shot twice, once through a doorway and a round directly through a wall.

"There was quite a few people inside the location. Very lucky that nobody was seriously injured. The security guard did suffer a wound to the upper leg area, but he's going to be okay," Smith said.
