Typical cowardly reaction of a pussie Democrat. If you're a man I'll bet you squat to pee too.

Was the Bobcat registered to vote, what party? Did the Bobcat talk in a weird druggie voice? It all makes sense now...

Yeah, Opossums are amazing.

They are the only critter you can kill by clapping your hands, stomping your feet or yelling at it.

Then ya pick it up by the tail and carry it off behind the shed.

Go back next morning and it will have evaporated.

Leaving nothing but a pressed down dry spot in the dewy grass.

...."It then ran out of the garage and bit Xxxxxx's 15-year-old nephew on the arms and back.

Xxxxxx and his wife pinned the cat to the ground and shot it dead.

Xxxxxxx, his nephew and his wife, are being treated for rabies. His wife wasn't bitten, but got the animal's blood on her.

State Environmental Police took the bobcat to have it tested for rabies, which they think is likely given its unusual behavior."

I have seen several when I was out hunting. I should shoot them but I just can't bring myself to do it. There was one across the street where I live last year. Now that one I would shoot to protect my dogs

So many people are unaware today of the dangers of Rabies.
Most think with pet vaccinations for rabies, that it is an old disease or very rare.
This is not true.

Please be aware that anytime you see a wild animal in day light, the odds are that creature is sick.

Symptoms are a staggering or stiff legged gait.
Acting confused or drunk.
Wandering in circles or sitting in one spot in the open with no awareness of other animals or humans near by.
Trembling or convulsing.
The animal may be vocalizing or snapping at nothing.
It may be hyper aggressive and attacking or biting at random.(Like the creature in the story)
It may seem to be blind.
Do not rely on foaming at the mouth to confirm illness.
That is a very late stage symptom that may appear only hours before the animal dies.

Do not touch or handle a bleeding or dead animal.
Rabies virus can still be deadly and lay dormant for months.

If you are exposed to any animal you have the least suspicion of, call animal control to turn it in for testing, and get yourself to a Dr. immediately.

As a reminder of how weird Rabies can be...
keep in mind there have been eight well-documented cases of rabies transmission through corneal transplantation.

More recently, four persons became infected and died from rabies after receiving solid organ donations from one infected donor.

Be aware, stay safe, and remind your kids to avoid petting any little critters that come out of the woods to play.

They are marsupials.
Like kangaroos, not rats.
They can have up to 16 babies at once.
Who could all fit together in a tablespoon.
(Mortality rate is very high)
The blind hairless fetal like baby will make it's way crawling into the mothers pouch from the birth canal.
There it will latch onto one teat and stay there until fully developed.
They eat mostly fruit, grubs, worms eggs and small mammals
They are not so much a predator as they are opportunist and scavengers.

Wow! Luckily it was a Mercury Bobcat that attacked him and not a Ford Pinto. The Pinto would have exploded. That is why I but foreign.

It is a good thing there mortality rate is high or we would be up to our ass in possums :)

LOL !
That's the truth.
:-D
Ya know what I just learned not too long ago?
Why there are so many armadillos killed on the road.

The little suckers jump, when they are startled instead of crouching like other critters.
When they land (if they live) they are curled into a ball that bounces and rolls.

Yep, You can aim a pickup to pass over one between the tires, and the whoosh will startle them to jump straight up into the under carriage.

Another dumb bit of trivia you could probably spend the rest of your life being happy not knowing:
Armadillos are the only other creatures on earth (besides humans) that carry Leprosy.

Have a nice afternoon Darlin' Denny.
;-D

Sounds a lot like an illegal alien, anchor baby, or a minority welfare recipient.

It takes two people to eat an Armadillo. One has to watch for cars :)
