I want to be a lead Robot at the Doe Run primary smelting operation(the last one in the United States of America), raw mined lead ore is converted to highly pure lead for industrial use. The company has invested millions to run a clean operation, but the EPA has increased the regulations again, this time by a factor of 10. The technology to meet the emissions standards is not ready and too costly to implement on a large scale. So all the miners and many workers involved will be "downsized", the company is paying for their retraining and helping them try to find other work. Now the U.S. will have to rely on foreign sources that pollute the Earth a thousand times worse, have fragile supply lines, horrible safety standards. Everything from bullets to batteries are about to get more expensive and hard to get. Just sayin'

Bullets have already gotten more expensive. The prices are ridiculous when you can find them. Even steel core is outrageous.

That and the fact that the federal government is buying up most of what is available. Really makes you wonder.

You're not kidding there, paid $170.00 for 200 rounds of Winchester Ranger .45 cal. about a week ago, 2 years ago I was paying half that. So much for target practice and plinking.

Handload!!! Handload!!! Handload!!! Don't pay the prices they are charging. There are still decent prices if you're willing to look and wait for them. Rimfire's are the real pain in the you know what. Can't load them at home so they got you by the balls for .22lr and .22WMR. I have not seen any .22 shorts in God knows how long for any price.

I have a friend that reloads, does my 45-70 loads (Thompson Contender) at about a third of what I'd pay at an ammo store but I have to supply the Brass. He told.me that the price of reloading is gonna sky rocket as well due to new gov. regulations. Guess if they can't outlaw guns they're gonna drive the price of ammo so high that the sport shooter and hunter can't afford it, won't affect the gun toting criminal in the least as I doubt they shoot off a clip ina month. Its just another way of eroding our rights and controlling the masses.

Stock up if you can, things aren't gonna get better.
