I just heard the news. Now we have higher taxes.
Congratulations congress. You may be not only
running small businesses into the ground but the
average American (making $50k yrly) has $84.00 dollars
extra a month in taxes.
The very ppl who can Least afford it.
Thats one thing the media has kept quiet about and something both sides was trying to get through quietly was the elimination of the payroll deduction tax.

Make no bones about it both sides know our taxes have to go up, and they will eventually and dramatically. The R's just realize to do it now would be to destructive..........

Just wait till Obamacare is implemented fully. It will cost the average family thousands a year..........thats coming to yet..........

Eh- IDK. They'll fight it all over again in a couple months. There's no good reason for this.

Sweetie when "Obamacare" goes into effect I will
finally be able to get the full treatment I need
for my disease.
There is a chance that much of my "old" self may
come back. So while you all b1tch about it I will

HC premiums are now twice the amount they were 4 years ago and still climbing . The deductibles have gone up, the coverages down.

I'm glad you have coverage, but the fact is it came as an expense to alot of others that cant necessarily afford it.

There were good things it provided, but there was a better way to get there I'm sure..........

Remove 8 zeros and pretend it's a household budget:
* Annual family income:$ 21,700
* Money the family spent:$ 38,200
* New debt on the credit card:$ 16,500
* Outstanding balance on the credit card:$142,710
* Total budget cuts so far:$ 38.50
39 dollars cut leaves 16,461 in new debt in stead of 16,500.
That is roughly 0.25 percent, or 1/400 th of the cuts needed just to balance our current year, NOT pay old debts.
Analogy style....
Let's say, You come home from work and find
there has been a sewer backup in your neighborhood....
and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceilings.
What do you think you should do ......
Raise the ceilings, or remove the sewage?
Congress will try to raise the ceilings and keep us all in the sewage.
Lol...$16,500 in credit card debt?

I'd say tear up the credit cards, find another job and stop charging everything and paying 400% interest.

If all you ever do is think of sewage, life will never deal you anything but sewage.

Try blaming the insurance companies, not Obamacare. We've been paying relative high deductibles since Lincoln was president. By 2015, over 5% of the nation's top companies will no longer offer health insurance to their employees - opting to pay the lesser cost of penalties.

May I suggest we start working out instead of camping out on a public forum all day?

Basically what I'm saying is, he won his second term on social issues. I believe we are at a time in history when we should be focused on reducing debt and creating jobs.
And I dont mind saying it sickens me that as dire as the straits are were in, all of 54%(?) of this country can see is, whats in it for me..........
I agree with you there. He did win on Social Issues. The Rep went so far to the right they seemed like a bunch of radical extremist.

Look at the Rep party now as we speak, they are back stabbing and cutting each others throat. Throwing one another under the bus. The tea party movement is ruinning that party and they are all to stupid to know it.

I myself am an Independent.

There are so many reasons Romney didn't get elected.

You have to be so much more than a business man to run this country and he was lacking in all of those.

I'm not so sure the GOP wanted to win this time either. They pressed social issues when 'smart' guys would have gone for the economy. But, they had no desire to inherit an economy that their friends had ruined anyway and they had no idea how to fix.

Whenever they are out of the WH, they always think they can get back in with gays and god and guns.

The REP, DON'T like gays and don't support gay marriage. Guns and God they do.

There is no quick fix for this economy. Although better it has a long way to go. Being a business woman myself I know it takes money to make money. The Rep haven't figured that out yet. The Dems know it.

But I'm all for revamping the whole system, it is badly needed.

Be honest, how many ppl do you know who draws a check and should not be getting one? I think we all know these kind of ppl who take advantage of the system.. Question is how we going to fix that without hurting the ones who do need help?

And my kids and their generation will be grateful when they get handed 25 trillion dollars in debt, less opportunity, less jobs, less of everything, but hey, at least you are getting other people to pay for your healthcare. That's all that matters.

What a stupid thing to say.. It's because of the Bush wars etc we are in this whole mess. Obama came into this, it was his thank you for getting elected. He didn't create it. Thank the Reps for our economy and your childrens and grandchildrens future...

I think the media kinda shapes the image of a candidate and they have ALOT of influence on who gets elected. They pushed for Romney and the public followed.

My candidate went out early, Pawlenty..........

Rmoney losing to Obama makes it look like they tried. Running Pawlenty, Cain, Santorum- any of the other pretenders- would have been pretty obvious of their lack of commitment to win.

Could the media play a role in that?

No doubt media plays a big part in elections. But when you have actual video and tape about what a canidate REALLY thinks then the canidate has really hung themselves.. Like Romney, Aikin and Mourdock who was endorsed by Mitt..
During Obamas first election if they (R) had a strong middle of the road canidate I don't think Obama would have got elected. Ppl were afraid to elect a black man to office like Pres. Then you have Romney who ppl could not relate to, changed his stance so many times not to mention the video and all the lies he got caught up in. He was a lousey canidate for the (R) party.

Then you have Fox News spinning lies and of course Rush Limblah blah and Karl Rove who made a total ass out of himself and lost all crediibility. The (R) party couldn't wait to throw all the above under the bus and said ALL the above hurt them

The (R) party is so out of touch with main stret America as I was just talking to a friend about they have no clue what America wants and needs from them.. They need to jump out of 1950 and into 2013 because next year I can see many getting voted out..

The media called Pawlenty gutless.

Pawlenty is anything but gutless. He made alot of hard, unpopular choices in MN.

To be honest I really didn't like any of them but you have to vote or at least you should or you can't btch about anything.

There was no way I could have or would have voted for Mitt after all the bs he pulled in Ohio plus I don't agree with his social issues...

Thatís funny, I had a party over the holidays and not a person there voted for Oídummy. Many folks still donít want to be wards of the state and mooches, fortunately. Many of donít think the primary function of the federal government should be to take from everyone who is self-sufficient and havenít made poor choices in life and give an ever increasing amount to the folks who are mooches, rely on the government to care for them, and who have made poor choices in life.

The only thing the democrats offer you are higher taxes, unless you are a mooch. If you are a mooch, they will give you all kinds of shyte in the hopes that you will vote for them in hopes of more shyte. I can understand mooches loving them. I canít understand any person who is self-sufficient supporting them.

Most of us realize that if you are raising a family having taxes raised and having health insurance premiums increased, does absolutely nothing for your family Ö it may do more for mooches and their families, but not for self-respecting responsible adults who arenít on the dole.

Bush as faulty as he was, gave all Americans tax cuts. In contrast, Obama has given handouts to mooches, raised taxes, and raised health insurance premiums for those who arenít mooches. I donít think mainstream America are mooches. A lot of them know what the dems are all about. Some are misinformed to think that there are enough super wealthy people such that the dems can do all the stuff they want to do for mooches and it wonít affect their bottom line. Itís not true, either we will pay for it or our children and grandchildren will pay for it.
