The point of all that is the dumb f'ing tax and spend democrats offered a bill with over 600 billion in tax increase and 20 billion in tax cuts. It does absolutely nothing to avert us suffering the same as Greece. That's a fact.
You do realize that's the only offer that would've broke fillabuster, right? The House can't even draft a counter plan (twice) that their own people will vote for - you talk about sad.

You mean by the senate dems, right? Certainly the republican led house would have passed a bill with more spending cuts, considering they passed one with virtually no spending cuts and nothing but tax increases.

Now that the republicans have given into tax increases and gotten almost no spending cuts in return, there is no incentive for the democrats to give in and grant spending cuts. They won. They got their taxes ... on top of that they got more spending for bottom feeders ... on top of that they get to continue to run up huge deficits. In the end we are all f'd.

Now the only bargaining chip the republicans have to prevent us becoming Greece is by threatening to raise the debt ceiling and allow our country to default on debt in 2 months. Once again, idiots on here and the media will say they hate our country by threatening to do so, when really they are trying to prevent us from becoming Greece. We cannot avoid that fate without significant spending cuts.

When we start paying 1 trillion a year on just interest payments in 8 years it's gonna be time to lock and load ... cause I highly doubt a bunch of entitled people who have allowed themselves to become wards of the state are gonna go quietly. They are still gonna want their "stuff" from other people. Other people owe it to them to work and provide for them ... just ask them ... they will tell you.

The 47% that lost the election for Rmoney? Those "bunch of entitled people?" Or do you mean the 53% of the working people that drive on federally-funded roads each and everyday? Or the hard working farmers that depend on federally-funded crop buyouts each and everyday? Or all the automakers for Toyota, Kia, Hyundai and Honda that rely on federal tax cuts so that their employers can pay them sub-level pay? Or all the fighting men and women that are risking their lives overseas on federal taxpayer money?

Or...I think you get my drift.

My point was/is/will be, that everyone in this country depends on some sort of entitlement program in some way, shape or fashion. Whether it is the roads you drive on, the cheap milk you drink each day or the people we pay to defend our asses.

No, I'm talking about the 50% of households who are on some sort of welfare:

http://www.inquisitr.com/320718/50-percent-of...

While that number includes those receiving SS and Medicare, which I don't consider welfare ... we still have about 1/3 of households receiving other forms actual welfare. We have 50 million folks receiving food stamps, alone.

So, to understand the context only about 50% of households pay even a single penny toward federal income tax and 50% of households don't pay a single penny and 2/3rds of them are on welfare of some sort.

Obamacare, which is nothing more than an other welfare program will only add to that.

You tell me, how the rest of us, who aren't rich are supposed to raise our own families when we have to pay to raise other f'tard' families, when they are irresponsible and get married and have kids when they can't even take care of themselves. You can be a complete f' up and you get all kinds of stuff for free and you can make all the right decisions in life and in return you get to pay for the f' ups.

At this point it seems like it's who has the bigger balls the Rep. or the Dems. They both need to stop thinking about their party and more about the Americans who voted them in office. Some of these ppl have been holding their same seat since Jesus was a baby. Some need to retire or just be put out to pasture.

And I would say in 2014 many will get voted OUT!!

We all benefit more or less equally from roads. How the f' are those on welfare gonna get food without roads? In fact, I'd say they probably benefit more ... without roads I'd get off my a$s and walk to find food. Idiots would sit and starve unless someone walked for them. We all benefit more or less equally from cheap milk. We all benefit more or less equally from a military (however, the 50% of households who pay no income federal income tax don't actually pay for our military ... they get protected due to those of us who do pay federal income tax ... but for us, after 911 we'd be defenseless ... I'm sure they all acted all patriotic and pi$sed off, tho, even though they do nothing to help pay to protect us ... how very patriotic) They keep me alive just as well as those on welfare.

So I don't see why simply because I benefit from certain things to the same extent as those on welfare that this means I should have to pay for them to get shyte that doesn't benefit me at all and in fact hurts me and my family because I have to pay for it. I have my own kids to raise. I don't want to be the insurance company when the all state mayhem man strikes f' ups.

You do realize that you're numbers are "Conservatized," right? All of those folks that receive some type of food stamp assitance aren't necessarily dead beats or non-workers. Some receive that assistance because they are single working mothers, fathers, disabled, etc. If you actually knew how hard it is to fraud the food stamp system, you'd probably sing a different tune other than what you may hear on Fox news.

Although I will agree that there are some that take advantage of the system, it isn't any different than it was 20, 30, 40 or 50 years ago. Take it from someone who has used unemployment at least once in their lives and I am personally greatful for it - having two heart attacks kinda' removes you from the working mire for a bit. And I will only say this once - your Republican bretheren voted for an identical health care program - start blaming those that you voted for.

The fact is were 16 trillion in debt and until thats fixed there wont be any recovery..........

You can celebrate the fact that in some areas of the country housing they are building houses again, yet housing values are still way down and aren't predicted to come back for years.....

You can be excited that many folks have been looking for work for so long and cant find it they've dropped out of the job market or have taken multiple part time jobs to survive and manipulating the unemployment numbers..........

You can celebrate the market is up for the time being, but surely wont be for long if this administration keeps spending and raising the debt ceiling..........

But I dont find much to celebrate in that..........

It doesn't matter, M69. We are bankrupting our nation. We are running up so much darn debt that we are all going to go down with the ship. Folks like me who waited to get married and have kids until after I had an education and a job that would actually pay enough to raise a family will go down just the same as folks who were like hey, we donít have a pot to piss in and no savings, but hey letís act irresponsible and have kids Ö that will make our life better Ö then we can whine about how tough we have it and how someone else needs to work and take money that could be used for their family and give it to our family Ö cause we are all in this together right? No we arenít all in this together when all some do is behave irresponsibly and take and take and take until there is nothing left.

Eventually folks who rely on government aid are going to have to do with less, even if those of us who aren't on it will have to pay more. WE spend over 60k on welfare for each household in poverty:

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/over-6000...

The CBO numbers are overly optimistic and they even predict that in 8 years we are spending about 1 trillion just on interest payments for debt. That is lost money. That is money we canít invest in education, infrastructure, and social programs. That is money that for all practical purposes is flushed down the toleit.
The federal government is projected to only take in 2.9 trillion in 2013. Letís assume that goes up to 3.5 trillion in 8 years Ö if one trillion is spent on interest payments for debt, thatís still about 30% of our federal budget being spent on interest payments and it only gets worse every year after that. At the same time SS and Medicare will need more funding or cuts because all the babyboomers will be drawing from the trust funds. All of this is even a best case scenario and assumes the fed is able to keep interest payments on bonds at historical lows, which no one believes will be the case! Go read the reports.

We are completely fíd with four more years of that clown in the office (I even voted for him for his first term ... so I'm not a neo-con). I donít even know why I am putting savings into my 401k. I should be buying gold and guns, and Iím not even a gun guy. I see no way around complete and total collapse absent significant spending cuts.

First of all, if you really need to resort to name calling, it would behoove you to choose the correct vernacular - numbnuts should be hyphenated.

Secondly, none of your opinions are fact-based. Working two part time jobs? Oh the humanity!!! It's called woking, pal. I put two kids through college working two jobs - you...can...too.

Most conservatives had us in the dumpster after the 1st - it didn't happen - neither did the world end. Try seaching for Bigfoot or UFO's...there's more solid evidence that they exist than there is the economy will fall apart anytime soon.

Hey my cousin lives near chicago and drives to Iowa every week to work building bridges. He stays in a hotel and then drives back on the weekend to see his kids. He stays with my parents on the weekend, who are helping him out, cause he just got divorced. That's what a man does. So, these whiny mo fo'ers who want to just sit and collect unemployment for two years and won't even contemplate moving, moving in with relatives, or career changes can go f' themselves as far as I'm concerned.

I don't hate anyone. I just realize it's not sustainable and all I see from Obama are more and more handouts and I see more and more folks voting for those handouts and blaming every one but themselves for their life and how it turned out. It would be one thing if we weren't facing the face of Greece. Sorry, I'm not sticking my head in the sand and pretending everything is hunky dory, when it's clearly not.
