Democrats want to fixate tax cuts
Republicans want guarantees on government spending cuts
"Which is most important?"
You tell me.

One's not going to happen without the other-both need done for "US"
so who is the loosers & the winners-tell me?
Congress that just got a raise in salary?
The POTUS who refuses to budge?
The house that's staying their ground?
Or the people that 'actually'=own= this country?
"What do you think?

Actually, the democrats moved to the right and the right moved further right from what I've read. They came up with a new demand of to cut social security CPI(whatever that is).

When will they get over the fact that social security is anything but an entitlement and medicare became anything but an entitlement when they started deducting it from my check. It's an insurance. If I don't get my benefits...I can sue for breech of contract, simple as that.

I don't see why it would be wise for the republicans to agree to a bill that would lead to higher taxes, more handouts, and absolutely no spending cuts. At least the republicans were willing to agree to tax increases. The problem is the democrats only want tax increases and little to no spending cuts, when everyone agrees we need a combination of cuts and tax increases.

So I say let taxes go up on everyone. Let folks experience the true cost of democrat policies instead of allowing them to spend like money is going out of style and simply pass the bill off on future generations (democrats call that compassion)

After 4 more years of that idiot in the white house and the accompanying reckless spending, we are going to be so screwed.

There is gonna be a big fight when it comes time to raise the debt limit, i bet, and I really hope the republicans stand their ground. No more borrowing to feed bottom feeders.

There is absolutely no reason for them to grant the democrats anything until they come to the table with substantial spending cuts. I said it at the time ... the only thing obamacare will accomplish is greater spending cuts to SS, Medicare, and entitlements. Ultimately that is what they are going to have to do for us to avoid a worse fate than Greece.

I think Enzo is closer to right...as long as we have politicians that just want to be elected there will be pork barrel spending. Blame on who you like. I don't like either side...they are all politicians. Get rid of the lot and start fresh....THAT is the best hope...each and every term. The spending will stop....of course you won't have so many running for office either....lol,

This nation is an evil group.....lol! You get what you deserve...

Mitch McConnell has declared that the republican party plan is to ensure Barack Obama is just a two-term president.

I think Obama will blame anyone else since in his mind, he can't do anything wrong.

One thing I'm concerned about is cutting our military. That weakens our nation. Is that what he wants - for us to be vulnerable? I fear what he's thinking and where he is trying to take us.

We are just going back to the tax rate Bill Clinton put in. Democrats claimed those tax rates gave us a balanced budget. Do you know who is the largest buyer of our debt? The federal reserve buys our debt and prints money out of thin air. We are devaluating our currency. We can have Europes socialism unless we have Europes high tax rates

Lady, we don't NEED a military. Why do you hate the Second Amendment? George Washington did not want standing armies and that's why we have militias! Read a Bill Of Rights sometime!

You'll be happy to know the genius Obama issued an executive order yesterday granting Congress a pay raise. The guy is clueless.

The dems would rather weaken our military ... just so long as the bottom feeders can get more and more handouts. That's how they get so many folks to vote for them.

Best thing ever would be for our tax rates to reflect spending. That way folks can make informed decisions about policy and which party they want in power. I truly believe if most folks knew the true cost of our spending they would make different choices. If folks like Ferr had their taxes go up by 5k each year, I doubt they would be nearly as flaming liberal.

We would have a lot more money to spend too if we didn't have to spend hundreds of billions each year on interest payments. Just wait until interest rates on treasury bonds return to historic levels. The cost of servicing debt is going to balloon.
