Another non-responsive response from the guy who wants to do nothing about the mayhem?

Figures! Explain how doing nothing about the monthly murders could stop the murders?

Poll: Americans See Mental Illness as Key Factor in Gun Violence

Americans believe mental illness is to blame for gun violence more than any other factor, including easy access to guns, according to a new poll.

Forty-eight percent of those surveyed blamed mental illness "a great deal" in a Gallup survey, the same number as a poll taken just after a 2011 mass shooting in Tucson, Ariz., where former Rep. Gabby Giffords was injured.

The next most blamed factor, "easy access to guns" was blamed "a great deal" by 40 percent of those surveyed for shootings, which decreased by six points since 2011. Drug use was blamed at 37 percent, a drop of 5 points, and violent movies, video games and music was at 32 percent.

The poll was taken this week after the mass shooting at Washington, DC's Navy Yard that left 12 people dead including the gunman.

Can't answer the question eh?

I can answer yours. Doing 'something' is not equal to doing 'something that solves a problem'. Doing something that does nothing about the mayhem is doing nothing.

Additional restrictive gun laws would be as effective as a law requiring all criminals to wear a red carnation so possible victims could pick them out of a crowd.

Solving the problem of violent crime would involve doing something about the violent criminals, not everyone else's firearms.

Let me see if I got this right?
To do nothing about something is the right thing
but do something about nothing could be the wrong thing , so do something about the nothing that something should be done about.
I think I got it, Chilli and Clem don't agree,
but I agree with Clem not Chilli.
Don't shot me until Chilli has a chance to see if your weapon is legal and you have a current background check and are not suffering from mayhem.
"WE" must follow the law. LMAO

Yeah, real specific. LOL So it "...would involve doing something about the violent criminals...?" That's it, that's your answer? No specific reply, just lame, vague generalities? I'm not surprised! Fail, viejo!

Sadly, H H, from you priors, you appear to have very little right!:( That said, few here seem to be much further to the right than you are. LOL As I mentioned on another thread, your ADHD appears to be flaring up. See link below and you have a super day!

I'm not a woman and I'm not skirting anything, H H. If you believe any CON has made a compelling argument here to do nothing, while firearm extremists continue senselessly murdering babies and other innocents, you're just another NRA apologist, shill and toadie. How firearm extremists can look themselves in a mirror, daily, while they shave, knowing the next murderous firearm rampage is less than 30 days away, while they insist that we do nothing, is a mystery to me.
