People Who Feel, Taste and Hear Color

synesthesia often overlaps with smell or where the taste is part of the smell & vice versa then depending on the color it invokes an emotional response to a particular thing.
It becomes question of which came first, the SMELL, or the color, or the taste, or possibly the emotion invoked the taste, that brought the auto response of color .
For some the mere thought of the smell of a certain event can bring often hidden or well controlled feelings to a threshold,or simply put, be a trigger for something else, including true neuro problems in the brain.
There is A LOT more connected to your sense of smell than many realize, leaving behind the basic "aroma therapy" meditation lessons but looking further ,with questions like, can we train ourselves with the tastes & smells? or in some cases RE-train because the taste or smell provoked bad responses. Did we realize it was a simple smell that created that headache or panic attack? even a good smell.
IF it does, now can we train ourselves to control it? & with out some lengthy & costly sessions in Dr Phils office?
I have personal examples where smell controlled MANY of my daily habits & OFTEN brought such deep feelings out that a "normal" person would label it as true psychosis & many other terms for plain crazy.
Through understanding this,I on my own learned to replace many of the feelings these smells triggered, with other "Nice" feelings & brought a major change to my daily life.
This is a deep topic UNLESS you live it or are able to "see" or maybe "smell" how easily the basic functions can inter connect.

Not trying to ramble ,but rather show how basic & truly complex all those neurons can be . Yes for some SMELL-A-vision IS VERY REAL. Rick

Something along the lines of some people decide if food is going to taste good based upon its looks. On another note, I really want to know if the automobile Fibreeze Air Fresher truly works on the 30th day.:)

In the 40s my Dad got a job as a plant manager of a small dairy. The milk processing plant was located right on the small dairy farm. Since I was a pain in the ass, my mother made sure I got to go to work with Dad and hang around ;the dairy all day. I had complete run of the dairy farm while I was there. One or my favorite haunts was the milking barn where the cows were milked and fed. The milking barn had a distinct aroma. It was a mixture of cow dung, cow feed and hay. To this day, when I get a whiff of cow dung it brings back happy memories. Am I weird?
