I do consider this(carjacking) & a couple of other similar crimes ,armed home invasion,certain robbery's, to be death penalty cases
they are similar to highway men or horse thieves & historically have been dealt with in a swift manner & by death.
This is actually can be a Federal crime ,although few cases have been tried this way . The laws have been amended several times .
This is also changing city by city & state by state because of concealed carry or open carry laws & the definition of "justifiable" homicide .Rick
