No.
Some may be destined for fame or notoriety depending on their place or position at birth.
But greatness is something one must achieve or earn.

Some see greatness as being famous and having lots of money. Nothing wrong with that but that in and of itself doesn't make for a happy life.

A person can do a lot of great things for others and still be not see themselves as great or happy or living a fulfilled life.

Most of the things we do in our lives will not be noted or seen by many but that does not mean they were not great or that we have not lived a great life.

To all you fine posters "out there" have a great day and know that you can do many great things today and put a smile on the face of everyone you come in contact with.......

How many people do we read about who had it all with fame and fortune and still managed to make a train wreck of their lives? At the same time, there are people of much more humble circumstances leading happy and fulfilled lives.

You have to set that bar a little bit higher - not everyone in Hollywood is "great."

I would say that Oprah is not one who made a mess of her life. She managed fame and fortune very well.
