The right made their bed 6 years ago. They now have to burn them to "stay the course". Their base and the fringe expect them to oppose anything that the left does. Even if they agree that it's the right thing to do. No credit can be allowed to go to the president. It's just the way the uninformed think. And it won't change.

Can't recall a sadder situation in DC, since Nixon's stepping down.....As i recall, much of this opposition to President Obama, started with a big dinner with Newt Gingrich and House republicans,, the night before his first inauguration?.....

"America is making progress no matter what the cynics say,”

“By almost any measure, we are better off now than where we were when I took office. Some of it had to do with decisions we made to build our economy on a new foundation.”

Obama cited 52 straight months of job growth, 10 million jobs created, unemployment rate the lowest it’s been since 2008.

“Let’s be clear what the problem is. So far this year, Republicans in Congress have blocked or voted down every serious idea to strengthen the middle class, raise the minimum wage, on fair pay, unemployment insurance.

“The best thing you can say about this Congress, the Republicans in Congress and particularly the party that controls the House of Representatives is that so far they have not shut down the government or have not had America welch on our obligations and ruin our credit rating."

Republicans shot down amendments that would help the general public understand how much money they are spending on their fruitless quest to make the President look bad and more importantly, they shot down an amendment that would not allow them to use the same attorneys that are also lobbyists, In other words - shenanigans.

Disgrace. A total fkn disgrace. The entire Republican party is disgraceful right now.

The Affordable Care Act actually refers to two separate pieces of legislation (the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010) that, together expand Medicaid coverage to millions of low-income Americans and makes numerous improvements to both Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program.
