There was strong public support for ending the wars and there still is. I don't think Republicans can win advocating for war without a major attack of some kind

This is what I think. The war in Iraq was a part of the war on terror. Iraq was a strong wealthy Muslim country and Saddam advocated hatred for the United States. We kicked their ass pretty good.

However I am not sure that a total war with Iraq was the right option. If Al Gore had won the presidential race in 2000 United States history and the history of the whole world would have taken a differant course. Al Gore may have removed Saddam, but I think he would have done it in a smarter way without a total war

No. Al Gore would have had NO reason to invade Iraq. He had NO connection to Haliburton/KBR- the corporations who profited greatly from the Iraq war. And, assuming 9/11 was actually a terrorist attack and not just Bush/Cheney production to create profitable wars, there's no saying that Gore would have gone for a protracted war in Afghanistan. Gore, like anyone with a brain, would not have gone to war with anyone in the Middle East simply because they don't like America.

All the news articles I have read indicate that Al Gore favored removing Saddam. What he would have done to achieve that goal will never be known. However I do believe that if Al Gore had been elected president he would have removed Saddam Hussein

Believe it all you want but there was NO reason for Gore to remove Saddam. He is not some easily led imbecile like Bush.

All the news articles I have read indicate that Al Gore strongly favored removing Saddam Hussain. Al Gore is not some liberalpussy. He is a veteran of the Vietnam war and has personally killed people during that war

Is that why Al Gore sold Current Network to Al-Jazeera oil funded company?
I read today, that under Obama, we are running out of money to fix the roads and bridges, but Obama wants 2 billion to fund the illegal immigration surge. Huh?

I wonder if Obama got the 9-0 message from the Supreme court that he is not a King ?

They need over a trillion to fix roads and bridges. That's 1000 billion. They have been talking about that since the 90's. 2 billion dollars is chump change to the federal government

Al-Jazeera seems fairly unbiased to me. Much more so than Fox MSN

I wouldn't have a problem using the National Guard myself if it's legal. But what nobody ever mentions, they don't really want to stop the illegal hispanics. They do jobs nobody else wants to do. The country would go bankrupt without them

You can thank him for the surge too, with his executive orders on immigration and them releasing people who are caught:

http://nypost.com/2014/06/24/obama-released-i...

Gee, I just can't figure out why they keep coming here? We give them drivers licenses, free healthcare, free education (which is better than in their own country), food stamps for their anchor babies, and we have democrats who bend over backwards to prevent their deportation and fight tooth and nail to block any attempts to toughen laws.

He'll ask for 2 billion for illegal immigrations, meanwhile our roads are falling apart and our veterans are treated like crap by the VA.

I think he already knew that. Did YOU get the 5-4 decision by the Supremes that corporations are people like you only successful and with more rights?

Hobby Lobby does not have to pay for your birth control and morning after baby poison. Obamacare is a disaster.

So a "business" transaction is now dependent upon wether or not "you" decide it is ok. I hope he got what he was asking for it.

You don't get out much do you? There's not a highway or road that isn't being repaired. This nations infrastructure has gotten so bad, that almost no amount of money will fix it. There is so much work that needs to be done, that highway funds can't keep up with it. What is the rights answer to this? Lower taxes. Where do you think the money comes from? You can't complain about the roads, that are maintained thru tax money, and then complain about taxes also.

Two billion to deal with the immigrant surge. Another case in which the reichtards show their hypocrisy. You want something done, but you don't want to pay for it. Reminds me of something that I keep hearing from the right. Now what was it? Oh yea, I remember now. The right is continually claiming that the left wants something for nothing.
