There are many things you'd never expect Glenn Beck to say.

But "liberals, you were right" tops them all.

Beck: "From the beginning, most people on the left were against going into Iraq. I wasn’t.... Liberals, you were right. We shouldn’t have."

Beck made this surprising declaration on his radio show on Tuesday.

"Not one more life. Not one more life. Not one more dollar, not one more airplane, not one more bullet, not one more Marine, not one more arm or leg or eye. Not one more," he said. "This must end now."

When Obama said the country was shovel ready, what exactly did he mean?

When he said "Shovel Ready", he was referring to this country digging it's own grave under his plans for America.

He was going to spend two or three hundred billion on roads and bridges, but republicans didn't want to do that

How much did all the FEMA camps cost, how much to maintain them?
Are these being used to house the flood of illegal immigrants, or are they being saved to house all of us "Right Wing Extremists"?
One phone call, and Obama could free a Marine being held on dubious charges in Mexico. Cricket, cricket. Sure, trade 5 actual hardcore terrorist leaders for one deserter, but no action for an actual loyal soldier next door.

--While meeting with his Jobs and Competitiveness Council today in Durham, N.C., President Obama cracked wise about one of his administration's early catchphrases.

Remember "shovel-ready projects."

Those were construction projects in the 2009 stimulus bill that were supposed to get moving right away -- but jobs council members told Obama today that some got held up because of elaborate government regulations and permitting procedures.

"Shovel-ready was not as shovel-ready as we expected," Obama said.---

I think they made plans after Katrina for housing people in the next disaster.

I read the Marine had 3 guns. I'm wondering if he didn't intend to sell them in Mexico. I can't see the holding him this long if he really just accidently drove across border

An NBC poll released Wednesday shows that 67 percent of Americans support Environmental Protection Agency rules released this month that will cut carbon emissions from power plants 30 percent by 2030.
Poll answers depends upon who you ask and how you ask the question.

If I ask employees,
"Would you like me to double your hourly wage?"
One hundred percent would say yes!!

But,,If I ask employees,
"Would you like me to double your hourly wage but half of you will lose your job and I will decide who stays and who goes based on your performance evaluation?"
I would get a very different answer !!!

They would have needed every one of those camps if McCain had won in 08. There would have been massive civil unrest if the economy had crashed and no assistance from the US government

Plus Obama was winning in the polls

Polls can be biased, but the people doing the polling soon lose their credibility. I guess if peoples electric bill goes up very much, they will soon change their mind about the carbon limit rules. They don't think that is going to happen though

realclearpolitics.com uses an average of polls and predicts House and Senate races with almost 100% accuracy. They were right on every state except Florida in the 2012 presidential race.

I agree that "RealClear" is about as close as you're going to get.

I don't think he had any choice but to make the recess appointments. The senate was blocking everybody he nominated. Harry Reid- "In the history of the United States, 168 presidential nominees have been filibustered, 82 blocked under President Obama, 86 blocked under all the other presidents."

SCOTUSblog reports:

This is a narrow ruling. It gives the President substantial recess appointment power. It says the only problem with the appointments was that the President had to respect the Senate's pro forma recesses.-

The issue of recess appointments has receded in importance after the Senate's Democratic majority changed the rules to make it harder for Republicans to block confirmation of most Obama appointees.

He could have picked decent candidates or waited for an actual recess. If the Senators really believed the candidate was no good, they have a duty to block them. If the candidate is good, there will have to be repercussions at the voting booth. I think Kagan and Sotomayor drink Pepsi.:)
