You must make a decision..NOW!
Send in the drones.....head them off while they're still in the desert.

He'll know what to do.

Once isis gets into Bagdad we will have to have boots on the ground.
I don't know WHY we completely pulled out in the first place.

At stake!

One trillion dollars
4500 dead
Thousands wounded
Even more are on disability.

All in vain?

"The United States will do our part, but understand that ultimately, it's up to the Iraqis, as a sovereign nation, to solve their problems," Obama told reporters at the White House"

"We will not be sending U.S. troops back into combat in Iraq."

To be effective, airstrikes will require the Iraqi army to step forward and engage insurgent forces on the ground.

War is always in vain.

"We" need to stay the hell out of it now, the thought, the memories and the press...let them ruin their own country, all by themselves..then it is time for 'We' again.

but that's just me thinking..

We should develop our own resources.. coal, Keystone, etc. We can become energy independent. The Middle East, with protection for Israel, can go to he11.

My point was we pulled out too early. We did'nt have to. It's all ' political '' promises '
We rushed it.
The stakes were too high to withdraw completely.
McCain was right.

Now it's a U.N. problem with us doing all the ' flying '

Why 50 thousand in Japan?

Not in vain at all, very brave and honorable men and women serving in our military but I don't think we should double the statistics you listed. They've been fighting that internal tribal war twice as long as we''ve been a nation, We're not change that. If we're not gonna siege and hold the country then we have no reason being there. Like the Capt said, we need to be focusing on developing our own resources, not propping up radical Oil producing countries that hate us anyway.

Ahhh fcuk that, if we're gonna get involved ( which I still don't think we need to throw good money after bad) we should give both sides drones... with really big bombs and let em go at it and when the smoke clears we go in and singe what few is left...big save on money too. But under no circumstances should our young warriors be sent to die, on that I think we both can agree.

My message to Obama... "Stick to tricking the American people and don't dabble in world affairs such as war, you lack the leadership skills as did your predecessor , Shrub.
A politically correct war can't be won, lawyers and politicians are not generals"

Btw razz58, I wasn't disputing the stats you posted, only the fact that if we get sucked back into that shythole of a country we run the risk of doubling those stats, and for what? So we can bomb h3ll outta of their country and spend billions to rebuild it again?

When the going gets tough, Barack Obama gets going (along with Mama Obama)…to another fundraiser, another gadfly gathering, another round of golf at some posh country club. For this president, the Situation Room is a big, fancy house full of big, fanciful supporters waving big, fabulous checkbooks.

Consider the state of the world today.

Iraq is literally descending into bloody chaos. A powerful new terror organization, ISIS, is sweeping across the region, threatening to create a formidable Islamic caliphate built around jihad. Iran is on the march. U.S. warships are moving into the region. Russian aggression continues to cause great concern as Putin’s warplanes buzz our West Coast.

Meanwhile, the southern U.S. border is wide open as the agents charged with protecting us from drug smugglers and suitcase nuke-carrying members of Al Qaeda are busy serving as babysitters to parentless children streaming in from Central America.

And those are just a few of the more pressing crises threatening global stability and national sanity.

So, where’s Waldo…I mean, where’s Obama?

On a sassy little swing through Southern California, to pass the hat for campaign cash in Orange County and hit a few gold balls in Palm Springs. And oh yes, the jet-setting prez will deliver the commencement address to UC Irvine’s Class of 2014 at Angel Stadium. Wonder if he’ll take the occasion, as he has done before, to bash Republicans and lift up Democrats?

Wonder if he’ll give a second thought to the world outside of the glamorous and glittery — a world that’s literally coming apart at the international seams.

Baghdad going the way of Saigon is unlikely. ISIS has perhaps 11,000 fighters to the Iraqi Army's 250,000. The Iraqi troops who deserted in Mosul and Tikrit were mainly Sunnis, resentful of discrimination by the largely Shiite government. The army's Shiite soldiers are more likely to fight for the government, and will certainly fight to protect Baghdad.

Being a billionaire lets you influence and control politics. That Canadian oil is being transported by rail now and who owns the rails? Warren Buffet ! No matter how much the pipe line would help the country as long as Obama is there the Keystone is dead
