You might just want to read what Article 1, Section 8 of the constitution has to say about that.

Huh?

So the Pilgrims landed on Plymouth Rock because of... taxes?

And here I thought England was dumping their religious nutters on the US colonies like they dumped their criminals in Australia.

Short term solution with long term unexpected consequences?

Newly-naturalized citizen, Albert Einstein received his certificate of United States citizenship from Judge Phillip Forman.

Expansive powers to congress:
Congress's "power of the purse" authorizes taxing citizens, spending money, and printing currency.

"WE" elect congress [therefore]'we' tax ourselves. Just like everything else 'we' bring it all on ourselves.
"WE" bring it all on our {selves}!

PS: Think about that next time you grip about taxes(???)

"Grip" about taxes? When have I ever "gripped" about taxes? In fact, I have, on more than one occasion, advocated for the paying of "more" taxes. How the hell do you fools think this country works? The framers of the constitution knew this. That's the reason Article 1, Section 8 came to be. This nation continues to grow, but nobody wants to pay their taxes to take care of it. The teabaggerz are the biggest bunch of idiots the world has ever seen. Running around yelling, "Taxes are illegal. We have to get back to the constitution". I'd bet that 99% of them don't even know what the constitution says. Hell, for that matter, I'd say that 99% of those on the right don't either.

You dont get it ...we see things differently ... I'll tell it my way ... and you yours!
I see paying taxes that aren't going toward paying of our national debt as a waste of money.

How the hell do you fools think this country works?
I do not consider myself one of them, you I doubt, but you may be correct on your "%" but I'd included another 99% that don't give a damn.

You'll tell it "your" way? You're a fool. What's the matter? You want to preach the constitution but only if it suits your purpose? Taxes are one of the very first things that were put in the constitution. Try reading the damn thing sometime.

There was no federal income tax until the 16th amendment was past. They started to limit tax at 3% but they never thought it would get that high. If you want to pay more taxes nothing at all is stopping you. The tea party isn't saying taxes are illegal. They are saying we need a smaller government and lower taxes. The 50% who pay no federal income tax want higher taxes and more free stuff ! There was a time long ago when a Democrat said ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. We now have a radical Socialist who ignores the constitution and his oath of office

You seem like a much smarter idiot than that hillbilly idiot. Maybe you can tell us. Just a few years ago, there was a republican in the White House- a perfect time to create *small government*. Instead, he started two, unfunded wars. Why should we believe republicans want *small government* when they never actually do anything but effing whine about it when democrats are in office? It sounds to me like they are maybe insincere.
