Oh, yeah. There are sights to see.<quoted text>
When I moved to Florida back in 97 I moved in with my brother and had funds to the point I wasn't overly anxious to get another job. I was browsing through the want ads and was looking through the Drivers Wanted. As it turns there were these two women that wanted someone to drive them cross country in an RV.
For four weeks we traveled and our final destination was the Grand Canyons. My most memorable event was when we were in New Mexico somewhere ... WHITE SANDS??? Anyhow, I had parked the RV right in the middle of these sand dunes and took several pictures. It looked like I was in a New England blizzard. It was awesome.
I've done much traveling just to see the country as much as I was able ... I camped out mostly, but there were times I got caught in some serious storms and the campsites were knocked down making it necessary to stay in hotels.
And along the way, I remember quite a few people whose name I don't know or no longer recall.
There were a few who gave me the stink eye (20 dollars on 1 and I'll be out of here and back on the Interstate in a couple of minutes) but many were strikingly positive and helpful.
I guess there's a bit of luck involved if you travel.
