Here's a twist. My husband says I have the sex drive of a man and he's like the woman that needs to have "everything perfect and just the right mood".
Arguing and makeup sex is something he would never agree to.
So, we have sex about once every two to three years.
Yes, that's the truth.
He's always too tired or has an aching back.
Well, why do you think I'm on the computer now?

if they let sexless couples get married, and male/female couples, why not allow unisexual marriages?

I talk to a lot of those guys...

Some of them are unrealistic and it's their own fault their wives aren't enthusiastic about sex. Some of them are probably doing the best they can.

It pisses me off when men think that if their wife doesn't act like a phone sex operator it's a legitimate excuse to to do things behind her back or give up on trying to make things better with her. If she's not enjoying sex, she's not enjoying life, most likely. What kind of man is okay with allowing THAT for his wife?

Your divorce rate is that high not because of sexless marriage. It is because they dont have sense of reponsiblility. They sex with a people who is not his/her partner. Cheating~~~

I'm sure cheating a huge problem and their a lot of women/men that put up with it in their relationships. I guess its a power thing and a fear of ending up lonely. That's the only conclusion that I can come up with people putting up with get cheated on.

My SO had a hysterectomy that scrambled up her hormones and the libido just went away. Her doctor told her that there's not much that can be done, but that she needed to schedule regular sex at least once a week and work up to more. The doctor impressed upon her how physically important sex was to her and how important is is to our relationship. Nowadays we schedule at least one night a week, whether she feels like it or not. What we have found is that even though she initially isn't in the mood she gets into it after a little foreplay and is capable of having orgasms like she always has. Physically her equipment works just fine, she just needs to intentionally initiate sex instead of waiting to be "in the mood".

I don't understand why people are in such a hurry to get married these days. Most people my age are living with a partner and choose to live together for several years before getting married. Why rush?

People intend to be true to one person but the feelings we have when we first fall in love change as love matures. People aren't prepared for that and they don't adjust for it as time goes on. They also don't accept that long-term love isn't one long "high" like falling in love is.

There are different chemical and hormonal processes going on when we're falling in love or even sexually attracted to someone new. It's ridiculous when people expect those same feelings to keep happening in the same way for 60 years.

There are other amazing and wonderful things that happen in long-term relationships. You just have to keep an open mind and be mature to make those things sexy, too.

Sometimes it's love and a recognition that fidelity isn't the only way love is defined or maintained.

I always wind up with abused, troubled, shattered women in my life who, after the initial courtship, use sex as a reward and punishment scheme, but eventually forget about the reward part. To me sex is as essential as food, air and water, and I could suspend petty feelings over an argument or something if my loved one was 'in the mood', but that was never reciprocated. After a point, too many excuses and no communication, I just don't give a fig, and that usually ends it.I will never understand women. I'll have to try a 'normal' one sometime, but they seem to elude me.The others are glomming onto me left and right.
