Sgt. Bergdahl Completes Final Phase Of Reintegration Process
By Paul Johnson
A senior defense official says that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has completed the final phase of the reintegration process under the control of U.S. Army south and is currently being assigned to U.S. Army North, Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. He will now return to regular duty within the command where he can contribute to the mission. The army sergeant spent nearly five years as a Taliban captive in Afghanistan. He was released on May 31 in exchange for five top Taliban commanders imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay.
His exact duties were not disclosed. The Army investigation into the facts and circumstances surrounding the disappearance and capture of Bergdahl is still ongoing.

I am surprised you know what a blanket party is. I am sure his remaining time in the military will be harsh. He needs to be Court Martialed and booted out with a bad discharge but watch what happens when Obama want to make him a hero

He may not be a traitor. He may just be an imbecile. Maybe he just thought that he was going over to his "friend's" house for a humus and goat sandwich. Either way, he should not be portrayed as a hero. I suppose he could be portrayed as the goat.

Although I do not talk about it a lot, I spent 5 years in the Army and another 5 National Guard. I have taken part in a blanket party or two when the need was there. Discipline is a great thing. If you cannot behave in a manner consistent with the standards; a lesson is order. One way or another, he will get his!

Might as well save your breath. This bunch of fools is so deep inside reichwing land, that no amount of truth can reach them.

They don't need "actual" facts. They make up their own. It used to be enjoyable to make fun of them. As time goes by, it's become monotonous they simply make it too easy..

Sen. Carl Levin, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said Pentagon officials continue to defend their decision to secure Bergdahl’s release despite questions about his captivity.

“It is critically important that the American people know that the chairman of the joint chiefs and the vice chairman of the joint chiefs strongly recommended this agreement knowing full well the Bergdahl had left his unit and knowing full well how bad these Taliban people were,” Levin said.“Nothing has changed the firm determination that this was the right thing to do.”

You are so quick to accuse.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we accrue pay for POW's while they are held as a prisoner now?

Yes, for POW's ...pay accrual is done and should be.
For a deserter........NOT! This schmuck deserves nothing good!!!

Furthermore, what about the soldiers who lost their lives looking for this loser???
The time, resources and danger other soldiers encountered looking for this jerk???

How about we take his accrued pay and split it amongst the families who lost their soldiers because this dirtbag chose to walk away.........

As for POW's they don't CHOOSE to be captured. They don't simply walk away in the middle of the night. That's a whole different story.

No, I don't, but if Hoosier is going to put out information about someone and make thread after thread about it, then I would expect (in the least) that he could get the story correct and not mislead hard working people about the time frame of it's happening's!
