My great grandma would keep the shell of the pot pie containers to use later as small personal Pie Pans- that pie always tasted better!

If not using your children's hangers, the one's w/ clips on them. Break the clip part of the hanger and use for chip bags, bagged cerceal etc...

Use old clean socks as fast way to dust.

Poke holes in the bottom of 2 liter bottles and set them around the Garden for a slow but steady water.

Forgot a good one!

After a candel is gone, put the cute jar in the freezer for 2 hours or so and the unwanted wax will pop right out and you can re-use over and over!

Above post FUNNNNNNNYYYYYYYY!

If you dishwasher is still not working after you "slap the bitch".. lol.., mix a really soapy sink of water and the kids will be glad to wash those cups...you will have to mop afterwards!

If you happen to be out of pledge, a drop a lemon juice mixed w/ veg. oil will get the job done until you make it to the market.

If you have picky eater's tell them chef Ramsey sent over dinner and for some reason they seems to like their veggies!

That is really useful to know,
I've often thrown out a nice candle jar,
having failed to scrape it clean

THANKS for that.

A chip clip cost about a dollar and will hold one bag of chips. A sleeve of bobby pins cost about the same one dollar and will hold about 50 bags of chips securely, and they can be used for multiple purposes around the house.

If you spill something on the carpet, pour sea salt on it, allow the salt to absorb the liquid, then vacuum up the salt.

To make chrome on your car shiny, grab a can of coke and some aluminum foil. Crinkle up the foil and pour the coke on it and start rubbing. It take little effort but your chrome will be sparkly clean and you will not have to spend a ton of money.

Child has a toothache... no problem, rub vanilla extract on the area until you can get them to the dentist.

Child has a sore throat... no problem, heat up some pineapple juice and allow them to drink it warm until you can get them to the doctor.

Are you a budget conscience person? If so you can save money on toothpaste by cutting the tube open after you think it is empty, is still lots of toothpaste left in container to be used, if family of four, you got two days left.

To save money on fabric softner, don't buy sheets, buy liquid and get you a package of think washcloths and on laundry day mix a capful of fabric softner with four-six cups of water. Toss in four or five wash cloths. When you put a load in dryer, wring out a wash cloth and toss it in. You will save a ton of money this way.

If you have fluorescent lighting in an area that you go in and out of frequently, it is better to leave the light on then to turn it off and on, it take more electricity to turn flouresent lighting ON then to keep it on. The initial start up is what cost you with fluorescent lighting.

I probably have tons more but for now I must skiddadle.

Just remembered another one.

If you get burned badly, get some cooking linen and soak in some instant tea ( no lemon or sugar.. just make up a batch fresh with nothing but the instant tea and water) then cover the burn with the soaked cloth. It will work wonders to relieve the pain and keep burn moistened.

[ trick hospital gave us for 2nd degree burns on family member and amazingly it worked... they also told us that if ever we got sunburned really bad we could just pour a bottle of instant tea in bathtub and soak in it and it would relieve the burn much quicker and the burn would heal faster without severe peeling/ or peeling and bleeding as some do ]

Better yet, hand them the keys to the house and move without telling them where, then you don't have to worry about them trying to move back home... they are already there... lol [ make sure they understand they have to pay their own bills because you won't be there to do it for them ]

I do that too, Brigitte! Works great!

I have one: I used to have to carry an ink pen in my shirt pocket all the time when I was a courier. If you get ink on your clothing, spray it with hairspray before you wash it. I've done this many times and it works great! Takes the ink out every time.
