For OUR marvelous Marines:
From the Halls of Montezuma,
To the shores of Tripoli;
We fight our country's battles
In the air, on land, and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean:
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marine.
Our flag's unfurled to every breeze
From dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun;
In the snow of far-off Northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes;
You will find us always on the job
The United States Marines.
Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've fought for life
And never lost our nerve;
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven’s scenes;
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines.
Thanks my friend for posting the Armed Forces songs its great to see them in print and God bless you :)

For our amazing Army...
The Army Goes Rolling Along (1956, current official version)

Typically only the first verse and refrain are sung (not including the intro).

Intro:

March along, sing our song, with the Army of the free
Count the brave, count the true, who have fought to victory
We're the Army and proud of our name
We're the Army and proudly proclaim
Verse:

First to fight for the right,
And to build the Nation’s might,
And The Army Goes Rolling Along
Proud of all we have done,
Fighting till the battle’s won,
And the Army Goes Rolling Along.
Refrain:

Then it's Hi! Hi! Hey!
The Army's on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong (TWO! THREE!)
For where e’er we go,
You will always know
That The Army Goes Rolling Along.
Verse:

Valley Forge, Custer's ranks,
San Juan Hill and Patton's tanks,
And the Army went rolling along
Minute men, from the start,
Always fighting from the heart,
And the Army keeps rolling along.
(Refrain)
Verse:

Men in rags, men who froze,
Still that Army met its foes,
And the Army went rolling along.
Faith in God, then we're right,
And we'll fight with all our might,
As the Army keeps rolling along.

Anchors Away - for all the Navy vets out there!

[Verse 1]
Stand, Navy, out to sea, Fight our battle cry;
We'll never change our course, So vicious foe steer shy-y-y-y.
Roll out the TNT, Anchors Aweigh. Sail on to victory
And sink their bones to Davy Jones, hooray!
[Verse 2]
Anchors Aweigh, my boys, Anchors Aweigh.
Farewell to college joys, we sail at break of day-ay-ay-ay.
Through our last night on shore, drink to the foam,
Until we meet once more. Here's wishing you a happy voyage home.

IN A CASKET OF STEEL

On the day he was born
we both cried tears of joy
we just had our first child
he was beautiful baby boy

I can still remember him
when he first learned to walk
he marched around the house
gurgling with baby talk

Kindergarten went real fast
and before I knew it he turned six
this is the first time you left us
to train to be a soldier in Fort Dix

Then in no time at all
our son was off to the prom
with the girl that he loved
I was a really proud mom

You had been on many tours
finally to retire at forty-six
but just when you had time for us
our son headed off to Fort Dix

He wanted to follow your footsteps
so of course a soldier he became
off to fight on a foreign shore
his life would never be the same

I prayed by my bedside
when he joined the corp
Each morning and each night
I prayed when he went off to war

Please God help my son
to weather this fight
Keep him safe from harm
on the fields at night

Well today is the day
that my sons coming home
but my tears are of sorrow
and I feel so alone

For my son will be carried
in a casket of steel
with a flag draped upon it;
How can this be real?

He earned a medal of honor
and I carry with me his tags
he had a soldiers funeral
and I got to keep the flag

Yet even though his death
has left me with tears
I still have the memories
of all of those great years

My son, like his father before
would fight and stand tall
they wouldnt have backed down
even with their backs against the wall

"The Army Goes Rolling Along"

Verse:
March along, sing our song, with the Army of the free.
Count the brave, count the true, who have fought to victory.
We’re the Army and proud of our name!
We’re the Army and proudly proclaim:
First Chorus:
First to fight for the right,
And to build the Nation’s might,
And the Army goes rolling along.
Proud of all we have done,
Fighting till the battle’s won,
And the Army goes rolling along.
Refrain:
Then it’s hi! hi! hey!
The Army’s on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong;
For where’er we go,
You will always know
That the Army goes rolling along.
Second Chorus:
Valley Forge, Custer’s ranks,
San Juan Hill and Patton’s tanks,
And the Army went rolling along.
Minute men, from the start,
Always fighting from the heart,
And the Army keeps rolling along.
Refrain:
(same as above)
Third Chorus:
(slower, more freely)
Men in rags, men who froze,
Still that Army met its foes,
And the Army went rolling along.
Faith in God, then we’re right,
And we’ll fight with all our might,
As the Army keeps rolling along.
Refrain:
Then it’s hi! hi! hey!
The Army’s on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong; (two! three!)
For where’er we go,
You will always know
That the Army goes rolling along!(keep it rolling!)
And the Army goes rolling along!

This truly touches me and mine as well! I am an 8 year veteran, as was my father and grandfather before me.

This country's military is near and dear to my heart.

A huge thank you to your family!!!

KIDS AND CAMERAS

I met a woman online
her husbands in Iraq
her children want him home
please send him back

Her kids took some pictures
they are five and four
they did this by themselves
to send to daddy on a foreign shore

Shes so proud of her kids
when she found out, she just wept
when she realized what theyd done
the whole night while she slept

The summer heat is bearing down
that hats dont do a thing
then the wind cuts across
and with it brings sand that stings

Sleeping standing up
or with one eye peeled
no shelter and no water
out there in the field

I pray for those families
with soldiers in Iraq
I pray for those coming home
and the ones not coming back

Her husband is a soldier
so she and her boys
stand up for right and wrong
though sometimes theres little joy

This woman I would call a friend
I care for her family and her man
He believes this is his fight for freedom
and hes doing all he can
