Both men and women serve in our Armed Forces. We owe gratitude to both. However, since 1776, most of the blood shed to protect our freedoms have been from men. I disagree with the attitude of some women;YES, we do infact "owe" men.

Not true. American soldiers have raped, tortured and murdered more women and children than men. I guess they figure that men are too dangerous huh?

I firmly believe that everyone in the United Snakes should have guns. LOTS OF THEM! And they should be allowed to carry guns with them to school, kindergarten, college, to church, to the shopping mall, to the cinema, the post office, in their cars, and on domestic flights too. You never know when you'll need it. Particularly when dining out:

I mean, shit! Someone might get their meal before you do - even though you put your order in first.

TO MAKE AN EAGLE CRY

What does it take to make an Eagle cry?
Unmerciful destruction of American lives.
Unknowing and working, to keep America free
Loved ones taken without warning so violently.

Yes, there was time for some to say goodbye.
Heartbreaking messages, tearful cries,
The loss of children, Moms and Dads
Separated forever, my God,

… MY GOD…

how terribly sad

There will be certain retribution made
and by this loss of life, many will be saved.
Our honor demands that justice be done
The down payment of this war,

… PAID…

by Americas innocent Daughters and Sons

Author’s Note: Being an old Soldier, from a bygone war; One not so popular, but even so my heart now soars at the unity and resolve and the resurrection of pride in the Red, White and Blue flown half mast in our skies

… I BELIEVE…

there is a greater power than an Eagle, with tears in His eyes. No, He can’t be seen but He has always been nearby, and perhaps He is saddened that we have taken so long to lift up our eyes and prayers and sung unto Him the long forgotten songs.

But no need to fear, Gods grace still stands. And He holds those unmercifully taken forever in his hands; and His love never fails nor will it ever canker or rust.

… Because America…

Our blessed America, was built on the principle of,

… In God we trust…

“United we stand; Divided we fall”

… GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS…

From Flower child

Marine/Soldier Night Before
By Major Bruce Lovely
''Twas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone,
in a one bedroom house made of plaster and stone.
I had come down the chimney with presents to give,
and to see just who in this home did live.

I looked all about, a strange sight I did see,
no tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.
no stocking by mantle, just boots filled with sand,
on the wall hung pictures of far distant lands.

With medals and badges and awards of all kinds,
And a sober thought came through my mind.
For this house was different, it was so dark and dreary,
I had found the home of a Soldier, once I could see clearly.

The Soldier lay sleeping, silent, alone,
Curled up on the floor of this one bedroom home.
The face was so gentle, the room in such disorder,
Not how I pictured a United States Soldier.

Was this the hero whom of whom I'd just read?
Curled up on a poncho, the floor for a bed?
I realized the families that I saw this night,
Owed their lives to these Soldiers who were willing to fight.

Soon 'round the world, the children would play,
And grownups would celebrate bright Christmas Day.
They all enjoyed freedom each month of the year,
Because of the Soldier, like the one lying here.

I couldn't help wonder how many lie alone,
On a cold Christmas Eve in a land far from home.
The very thought brought a tear to my eye,
I dropped to my knees and started to cry.

The Soldier awakened and I heard a rough voice,
"Santa don't cry, this life is my choice.
I fight for freedom, I don't ask for more."
My life is my God, my Country, my Corps.

The Soldier rolled over and drifted to sleep,
I couldn't control it, I continued to weep.
I kept watch for hours so silent, and still,
And we both shivered from the night's cold chill.

I didn't want to leave on that cold, dark night,
this guardian of honor so willing to fight.
Then the Soldier rolled over and with a voice soft and pure,
Whispered, "Carry on Santa, it's Christmas Day, all is secure."

One look at my watch, and I knew he was right,
Merry Christmas my friend, and to all a good night ...

Deep down the line
sleep save my child
trains leave and come
sad dreams ain't long

And they dream tonight
I always wanted the war
and they sleep tonight
dying in yearning for more

Deep down the spine
sleep save my child
loves leave and come
all is said and done

And they dream tonight
I always wanted the war
and they sleep tonight
dying in yearning for more

And they dream tonight
once they all wanted the war
now we sleep tonight
worn out and dreaming no more

UNTITLED, UNFINISHED, UNDONE

The dust is unsettled in the corridors of my mind
I thought I had swept it clean for the very last time
Don’t mean nuthin’ was my motto from the past
And the whole world could kiss my Devil-dog ass

Thoughts of Vietnam were s’posed to be buried deep
God knows the friendships were never mine to keep
Every day we existed was as the roll of the ivory dice
More often than not that bitch lady luck did not suffice

Lost youths wandering around in the jungle green
Faces long time forgotten now once again seen
Though their names have slipped silently away
Their souls remain visible and are with me to this day

Do I have any regrets you might solemnly ask?
If I had a wish to make and grant within my grasp
I would to God, The Few would have never died
And we could once more stand muster side by side

Dreams are free yet somewhat frightening at times
And the simple truth is that not all reason and realities rhyme
We had the privilege to live and walk together once, you see
And their memories as twilight shadows shall always be

Within me

WAR NO MORE, FOREVER

Father of lights, my spirit cries
as the War Hawk overtakes our skies.
Many hearts lay silent upon the hills;
their sun no longer shines in their eyes

Great arrows of fire rape the land,
tearing apart the brotherhood of man.
Majestic mountains that once caressed the clouds
reduced to piles of smoldering sand

Mother Earth’s foundation is unmercifully split:
her bowels spilling to the ground.
Lightning streaks while the shape shifter shrieks
howling wickedly as it rides its own evil down.

Man has always been an instrument of war.
Not so, the innocence of your beautiful land.
If we destroy the roots and poison her fruits,
our children’s children will have no place to stand

I present to you this token of war
before all wisdom and light is severed;
That through ignorance of war we learn to live at peace
To make War no more; Forever

and her dreadlocks.

Until the philosophy which hold one race superior
And another
Inferior
Is finally
And permanently
Discredited
And abandoned -
Everywhere is war -
Me say war.

That until there no longer
First class and second class citizens of any nation
Until the colour of a man's skin
Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes -
Me say war.

That until the basic human rights
Are equally guaranteed to all,
Without regard to race -
Dis a war.

That until that day
The dream of lasting peace,
World citizenship
Rule of international morality
Will remain in but a fleeting illusion to be pursued,
But never attained -
Now everywhere is war - war.

And until the ignoble and unhappy regimes
That hold our brothers in Angola,
In Mozambique,
South Africa
Sub-human bondage
Have been toppled,
Utterly destroyed -
Well, everywhere is war -
Me say war.

War in the east,
War in the west,
War up north,
War down south -
War - war -
Rumours of war.
And until that day,
The African continent
Will not know peace,
We Africans will fight - we find it necessary -
And we know we shall win
As we are confident
In the victory

Of good over evil -
Good over evil, yeah!
Good over evil -
Good over evil, yeah!
Good over evil -
Good over evil, yeah!
