Ferrerman was walking down the street with a bag in his hand when from the other direction, he meets Biden.

Ferrerman: Hey Biden, if you can guess how many chickens I have in this here bag, I'll give you both of them.

Biden: Hmmm...uh...hmmm...three?

Ferrerman: No fair, you looked in the bag!

Were you this angry when John Kerry's wife put THOUSANDS of family-wage American employees out of work when she moved virtually all of her Heinz (ketchup, etc) empire out of country?

<quoted text>When Canada can't take care of there people they send them to America. One case was a woman having a baby and they didn't have a bed for her. Government doesn't do much very well. Look at the postal service compared to UPS. You want the people who can't deliver the mail to be incharge of health care. The problem with liberals is the good is the enemy of the perfect. 85% of people have good health insurance. More people will die under federal health care. My friend in England mother had a hip replacement 3 times before they got it right. They can't provide security for our embassy and they can't provide good health care
With due respect, using one example to generalise about the UK NHS is not reflecting the whole system. Sure, it has imperfections, no one claims it doesn't. I appreciate you have been to England, but be careful of assuming that means you understand the complex ins and outs of our country. Over the years, I have spent around 18 months in the USA, but there is much I still do not know about the country.

To many of us "socialist" is a bad word, and as for those other countries, including Canada, I don't live there and so I really don't give a fcuk that they are socialist. If you wish to live under a socialist government then you have that right, move to Canada or France or any other socialist country that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Take comrade Moore with you.
If you think both Canada and France are socialist countries, I fear your definition of socialist (in which the goivernment controls all the means of production) and mine are somewhat at odds. Chucking around the term like an insult, which can no more be applied to Obama, Cameron (UK PM - Conservative) or Harper (Canadian PM, who incidently, is also a Conservative) is hardly adding much to the debate. Even Francoise Hollande, although a member of the socialist party, has continued Sarkozy's approach in France, which is anything but full socialism.

Even China has watered down its socialism, although not its repression of any opposition to the government. North Korea does fit the bill, so you want to compare Obama to Kim Jong-un, feel free, but it will not help your credibility.

Everything that I have heard about health care in the UK is that it is quite abysmal and nothing to brag about, as opposed to the very good care in the USA.

It is well known that Obama is a radical socialist, as in Communist.
If Obama had his way, the USA would be a country run on Marxist/Leninist ideology.
Obama was fathered and raised by very radical Marxist, and he is strongly endorsed by the CPUSA and labor unions.
If he were to win another four years, it would be the end of America as we have known it.

Thank you for playing the game. Coming from the Philippines, that would make you an expert on both systems? Yup, I will of course be accepting everything you say - after all, I need to raise my level of ignorance and you seem an expert in that.

No, I am American, born in Tennessee in 1944, and became an international traveler, starting only in 1999, and leaving for good in 2004. I lived in formerly Communist central Europe from 2004 to 2009. I am now married and living in the Philippines, my final home.

No, you do not need to raise your level of ignorance. It is quite high, as it is, and on a level with that of a young British chap that i helped to move here. He smokes like a chimney and drinks like a fish, and knows zero about US politics.
Have a nice day.

I never claimed to know anything about you other then that you are a Brit, and probably a strong leftist.
You have no points of interest to me.
It was you that jumped to the conclusion that I was Filipino, and
knew nothing.

There you go - making more assumptions. You have no idea what my political views may be.

Check back - never said you were a Filipino, said you were from the Philipinnes - big difference.

For someone with no interest in me, you are mighty fast with posting replies. If you have never lived in the UK - what idea might you have of our system? But of course, from hearsay, you are no doubt the expert.

Please show where I said that I am FROM the Philippines.

No, I am not an EXPERT on the UK. I have spent time in London, and I have friends from the UK. That would hardly make me an expert.
I have also read the horror stories about your socialist health system.

I am not ALWAYS ON Topix. My computer is always on, and it is 6PM here, so it is natural to be online, and often during the day, as I am retired.
I consider TOPIX to be for entertainment purposes only, and to beat up on Communist Obots.

Funny how you libs fail to mention the 149 House Democrats that voted for the cuts.
F*ckin' hilarious...

For fiscal 2013, the GOP-controlled House proposed spending $1.934 billion for the State Department’s Worldwide Security Protection program — well below the $2.15  billion requested by the Obama administration. House Republicans cut the administration’s request for embassy security funding by $128 million in fiscal 2011 and $331 million in fiscal 2012.(Negotiations with the Democrat-controlled Senate restored about $88 million of the administration’s request.) Last year, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that Republicans’ proposed cuts to her department would be “detrimental to America’s national security”— a charge Republicans rejected.

[GOP vice presidential nominee Paul] Ryan,[Rep. Darrell] Issa and other House Republicans voted for an amendment in 2009 to cut $1.2 billion from State operations, including funds for 300 more diplomatic security positions. Under Ryan’s budget, non-defense discretionary spending, which includes State Department funding, would be slashed nearly 20 percent in 2014, which would translate to more than $400 million in additional cuts to embassy security.

You reply is a non-sequitur, but typical for Obots on Topix.
Yes, it is well known EVERYWHERE in the world that Obumbo is a radical socialist, in the tradition of his parents and upbringing.

Monkey Island? God only knows what that refers to, and he is not talking. I live on Cebu, rated by Travel and Leisure Magazine as the third best island in all of Asia.
No, I have never had a balut.
It seems to be way past your drinking cutoff, and or, bedtime.
Now, go suck your own balut.

I meant to ask...Why is that term so widely used by you leftist.
I see it in so many leftist post.
Do you really think it makes you look like a mature adult?
Does it give you a sense of power?
Really, it makes you look like an immature 15 years old.
