I have an uncle who is a HS history
teacher. He and I never got along.
He used to tell his students something
(back when I was in HS) that bothered
me. He said that any time the US went
to war the country profited.
To me he seemed to be advocating war
and with one brother dead in Korea and
another scarred from Vietnam I thought
he would have different views.
I did...
I haven't spoken to him in yrs and I
wonder what he thinks of this war (or
2 wars actually). Is this the first
war (wars) that the country has not
profited from?
what he meant is a few millionaires got richer

jobs are created at a huge cost to all

Only if they're Obummer jobs...

His "green jobs" cost about a $million a piece (for the 15 minutes that they last).

<quoted text>You don't have to be liberal to think that way. I know tons of actual republicans who abhor the fact that the few get filthy rich from the suffering of others. It's part of the human condition to have these feelings. It's the very essence of knowing right from wrong. Not everybody gets it. Look at the Christians who "love" Jesus but gloss over the parts where he's healing the sick and helping the poor and asking them to do as he does. It takes courage to do that. It's much easier on the cowards who walk away.

You can't make this stuff up!

Al Snore said in an interview that the reason why The Chosen One stumbled in the debate was because - are you ready for this?- Obama had a lack of oxygen to the brain because of the altitude...hahahahahaha!

Guess ol' Al forgot that that's an ongoing issue with Ohbummer.

He must have been out of breath when he accepted the nomination amidst those Roman columns 4 years ago also. LOL!

Maybe so but there are too many wackos in the
far right if you ask me.
The signs and "nooses" hanging from trees at one
of the "tea bagger" rallies kinda says it all.

Listening to them talk is like listening to a
zealot. Doesn't matter who the candidate is or what
he stands for as long as he is of the right party.

That kind of thinking is detrimental.

I just wish that ppl would forget
party. It doesn't matter anymore who
is what party.

What we need to be talking about are
topics that are important to us.

And if a candidate is for the right
thing vote for him....don't fight
him b/c you don't care for his/her party.

But, those people are neither republicans or *conservatives*. They're just the garbage that floats ashore and gets scooped up for volume. Democrats and Libertarians don't want them. But the GOP uses them like shock troops. Think Boehner or McConnell cares about the trolls on this thread? Nor do the Koch brothers or Rmoney. Just pawns.

In other words you'd vote for the biggest
idiot in the world as long as he's a Republican.

THAT is sheer insanity.
