Then what was the purpose of your link? You do understand it was a parole officer that shot his wife and killed himself. Then you said they had easy access to guns. Well yea.
I donít have to try with you. I could be drunk, stoned, in intensive care from a car wreck, nearly brain dead and still be more coherent than you.
Well, those things WOULD explain why you don't even try.

So, was the car totaled?

Here in the USA the gun grabbers think they have gun owners on the ropes, but I'm encouraged when I read news articles like the one I've link to below.

<quoted text>My point was that in homes where there is a gun, the risk of injury or death is 22 times greater than in homes without guns. You responded with a somewhat fatuous alleged analogy that in homes with stairs, the risk of falling down the stairs to one's death is greater. Assuming this is an apt comparison, it makes the case that homes without guns or stairs are safer.
I agree that there is no shame in asking for help. I also believe that the grass is green. But I don't see what either of these propositions has to do with the subject under discussion.
It has to do with an old quote.

"There are three kinds of lies ; Lies , Damn lies ,and statistics.

One can easily find a problem and then create statistics to back up a point.

That is why I brought up that one is more likely to fall down the steps in a home with steps then a home with out them.

Guns are not the problem.

A lack of proper respect for another will manifest it self in a infinite number of ways.

Let us say tomorrow another 1,000 gun laws are introduced and the celebratory press briefings and " peace in our time" speeches are made... then two weeks later their is a high profile killing , what then ?

Will it be just another out cry for more laws , More restrictions and root causes and just and proper solutions over looked ?

Actually, you just invoked your ignorance again. I'm more accurate with a submachine gun than you'll ever be with a pistol.

If you had a brain you would realize it was the same link without the www. prefix. Was hoping Topix would attempt to parse it into a link and simply leave it as text.

But, just for you Iíll split the link. Just add the second line to the first portion of the URL.

Of course, youíre the Richardnator. Flawless precision with your little Uzi. Youíll place 100 rounds through the same hole. You win national championships and are the best in the world.

How do you know my accuracy with a pistol? I find it interesting you would desire to compare your skills with a pistol at distance. I do shoot pistol out to 100 yards. Care to test your accuracy against me shooting a carbine? A bit closer in size.

Yes, you love your ugly little Uzi. Keep spraying.

The president absolutely is not threating a commentator with deportation. Itís your twisted view of the world believing that.
Obama hosted a petition to deport Piers Morgan on an official White House website. Obama also appointed the people who process deportations. Therefor, hosting the petition is a tacit threat to deport based on the number of respondents.

Sounds wishy-washy.

Why not on the government website?

How is having the petitions on the website infringing freedom of speech?
It's overreach; the White House moderates petitions and censors the ones it finds objectionable.

eternal cynic wrote:
Youíre an idiot if you believe Cornell altered the US Constitution. Did you visit the link? Likely not. Even using your link illustrate how the petitions violate anyoneís rights.
I never claimed Cornell University 'altered the US Constitution'; those are e.c.'s words, not mine.

.
eternal cynic wrote:
Did you read the responses? Petitions the White House actually addressed?
Obama's response to the petition to deport Piers Morgan doesn't mention Piers Morgan, deportation or the petition itself; it's a campaign speech:

.
eternal cynic wrote:
Why would it make a difference if the Bush Administration was hosting the petitions?
The press would be over the 'Moderation Policy' as an administration abridgment of the right to petition like you've never seen them look at Obama's unconstitutional abuses.

The citizens of the UK do not want Piers Morgan back. I suggest a compromise. Why don't we drop Morgan midway between the US and the UK? Mid-Atlantic. Swim Piers swim.

@paxil. I'm in complete agreement with you there is a relentless campaign to disarm the American public. I fear for you. The recent gun tragedies are no coincidence. Put in place to sway public opinion to persuade you to meekly give up your protection against a tyranical government.
If ever there were tyrants running America that time is now.
